I plan to bake a christmas fruit cake in a 9x3" spring foam pan although the recipe asks for a 9" round pan.Can I substitute or just stick to the pan mentioned in the fruit cake recipe?(The recipe asks for a 9" round pan)

Ya, I do it all the time with cakes. Greasing is a little more challenging, but it works.

Yes, you can sub it w/ no problems, as long as you are sure you have the bottom in correctly!
