If God is telling the truth, and it's evident he is, and if you deny that evidence, and he told you not to, then you deserve to be punished. If you don't like God's punishment, oh well, he will do what he will do and being angry about it won't change his mind. If you'd like to be in Hell forever, and think that you will gain something by it, then you are mistaken.

Believing something may not be important unless that belief is in the truth, I may believe that I'm going to live forever, but the truth is 10 out of 10 people die, knowing that my time on earth is short, I choose to believe in a creator, not an accident or theory of metholigical naturalism, which seems to bring more questions than answers without eternal security in the realm of the unknown.(after life) If there is a God i'm going to find him and see want he wants of me. I found that all the God of the Bible wants is for me to succeed in life through faith in him, what do I lose by believing? Maybe I'll find deeper meaning in life..

Let us start with you specifically. You have been shown right from wrong and you are making a choice. It will not be God sending you so much as it is you sending yourself. Hell is the place God created for those that do not wish to spend eternity with him. Why should God create a nice place for those that never believed in him? Better still if you remove all the good things God created you get hell and since you do not want anything to do with God you do not get the good things he created.
Now, it is true that fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. But, it does not end there. You grown in your faith and relationship and the fear gives way to love and the desire to follow him.
You say God does not reveal himself and I disagree with you. The proof of God is all around you. And for the record I have moved from fear and love God and following his way has made a difference in my life and I would follow it even without the promise of heaven. Even if I were to fade to nothingness God's way is still the best way.

First, God DID show himself to us.
Secondly, I personally DO NOT believe in him out of fear from going to hell.
Those are honest answers.
The scriptures say that the demons believe, and they shudder. So mere believe is not all that is required. It takes faith to believe and ACT righteous upon that faith, namely calling upon the Lord Jesus Christ to come into our lives and become our Savior.
As for who will be sent to hell, that is not for me or you or really any human being to say. God is the judge. His ways are far higher than ours. Now, whether I believe that just not believing is reason for God to sentence someone to hell, to be honest, is suspect. I cannot presume to know what God deems justifable for eternity in hell.
Belief leads to action. Belief alone is of little value as your 9/10 statement indicates. A student who believes he can pass a test may or may not act upon that belief by doing the work that goes along with it. However, not believing you can pass it certainly will not lead you into positive activity towards passing the test.
I can believe that the medication the doctor prescribes wil cure me, but if I do not take it, belief alone will not cure me.
It takes ACTION on my part of avail myself of what is availabe to save me. Same with God. You can believe he exists, but if you do NOTHING about it, you have done nothing really. And if you do not believe in Him, there is no way you would even consider wanting to act upon a belief of Him.
Disbelief or non belief is actually more detrimental. Would you not agree?
Belief in the fact that God exists really does not have a bearing or vice a versa on the fact that there is a hell and some will be sentenced to it.
The summation of it all is that belief isnt the crux of the matter regarding both God's existence and hell.

God reveals Himself to His children. We know Him; we know His voice; and, we follow Him. Our devotion is not from a fear of going to hell or from a desire to go to heaven. Instead, rather, our devotion comes from the knowledge of our Father, His greatness, His might, His wonder, and His righteousness. The true Christian devotion comes from the simple knowledge that our Lord deserves that devotion!
It has nothing to do with us and everything to do with Him.
BTW, Tuberoot, try reading 2 Peter 3:9 when you have the chance.

Heb 9:27
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
(KJV)
John 3:18-19
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
(KJV)
Matt 12:35-37
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
(KJV)
2 Pet 2:9
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
(KJV)
Rev 20:11-12
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
(KJV)

This has got to be the 5 millionth time I've answered similar questions - well, a SLIGHT exaggeration, but there's more truth than poetry!
God does NOT send people to hell based on what they don't believe (after all, look at the aboriginies who have never even heard of Jesus), but rather God sends people to hell for breaking the Law of God written on their hearts.
People are guilty of breaking all 10 commandments, or at least a good portion of them, and they do so even when their conscience tells them they're guilty!
Believing or not believing in God is like believing for not believing in a cure for the venom from the deadly cobra that just bit you!
I mean, the doctor doesn't condemn you to a painful death for not believing he has a cure. Rather, the snake bite produces the painful death while the doctor is OFFERING you a cure.
But I'm talking about spiritual venom caused by the sting of sin.
Sin pays us back by killing us and sending us to hell!
God, not wanting ANY to perish, came to earth as Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and traded places with us when he died on the cross. It even says that Jesus, who knew no sin, actually became sin for us. He traded places with us.
Now, if you will accept His cure, you will be "redeemed" from sin and it's eternal consequences. If you reject His cure, which He will NOT force on anybody, sin WILL have it's ultimate "last laugh".
God cried out that He does NOT take pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked would repent. He cried out, "Choose Life, that you may live!" (Jesus said "I am Life!")
So, once again, you are not going to hell for not believing. You are going to hell for sinning - for breaking God's Law and ultimately living a self-centered selfish lifestyle - living supremely and ultimately for yourself. God is offering you a way of escape.
One last example: In this hypothetical situation, you're on a hike in the country, but there was a dense fog and you couldn't see at all. You hear a voice calling out for you to stop and turn around because you're about to step off a cliff with a 1,000 foot drop. Now then, do you blame the person calling out to you for the fog? Do you blame him for the cliff? If you don't believe him and you DO fall, as you're falling, do you blame him for falling?
God is crying out that death and hell is the end of the path that you're walking on, and you can't see Him because you are spiritually blind. How can you blame God when it's YOU who refuses to do anything about your "sin" condition (which is what is pulling you to go over that cliff!) Hey - blame yourself for being too stubborn to take heed!
You can mock all you want, but when you stand before God, He'll just ask you why you didn't believe Him? on your way down to hell.

Why should someone die from an infection when they refuse to take antibiotics?
You have a choice, but God calls the shots, and Jesus is the only way to salvation. John 14:6.
Besides, it's not just about what's in it for us. We are called to love God and love our neighbors as ourselves, in that order.
Edit: The proof is all around and within us. Romans 1:18-20.
(a) Ignorance may be bliss, but not believing in something that will affect you does not render you immune from the consequences.
(b) Years ago, no one knew that atoms existed because they could not be seen. Puzzles are sometimes solved by examining things that bear witness to the presence of an unseen object - craters created by asteriods would be one. The creation, in all of its wonderful complexity, is such evidence of God.

Proof of God is all around you if you really were seeking him...Not everyone will....some will deny him until it will be too late. If it fair for God to send them to Hell? God doesn't send them..he gives them a choice....accept the sacrifice of his only Son,,because if your sins are not covered by the blood of Jesus,,,you cannot enter Heaven...or die in your sins and go to Hell.....You choose one.
