yeah your spoilt and I think deep down you may know that but don't want to accept the fact. Now it seems that your mom is abit to loving and I think is just trying to buy your attention and love with material things. I mean thats what alot of parents do these days right. At the same time she's looking for your aproval to think she is a hip mom. Am I close?

Even though I'm sure atleast a part of you is loving it. Your poor dad however will be the victim here since your mother is spending his hard earned dollars on gifts that realistically have no true meaning or value. If I were you I would tell your mom that you apreciate her and that she doesn't have to do these kinds of things for you. If this keeps going on then logically you'll have more problems. Dad will find out automatically have resentment for your mom,mom will no doubt try to defend your honour and you'll be the centre of the problem and that is something you wouldn't need. That kind of thing leads to divorce.

So really your the one with the power in this situation and its up to you if your smart enough to do good with it or not. So try to do whats best for everyone.

Feel alright mon!

Well to be honest your likely spoiled......I'm taking your the only child and in that case I'm guilty of that myself....I have a 3 year old and I go over board myself ....but be thankful truly don't worry what your friends don't have or do have and don't take for granted for what your moms doing cause someday she may not be able to do it......hopefully she really don't do the $600 all the time I personally can see that at xmas time but that's about it....and even that amount is abit much....be VERY thankful for your mom and your dad

Tell your mom "thank you" a whole lot.
Consider fetching her iced tea and stuff like that to make her feel your gratitude.
It may be a matter of time before your dad puts her on a debit card with a set spending limit in order to control expenses.

All the foo-foo fancy external stuff in the world cannot mask a bad personality and lack of ethics... strive to be the very best person you can be. Don't get too attached to material stuff.

Maybe. If the fact that your friends have more "tiffany and juicy"... whatever... than you makes you run around screaming to various family members begging them to get you more whatever it is for you and you expect to have your mom pay $600 dollars for stuff then yes.

It sounds like your mom is spoiling you a little though.

If your mom can afford the money she spends on you, you're not spoiled. If you appreciate the gifts and express your gratitude, you're not spoiled. If you are aware that not everyone has it this good, you're not spoiled. Now, I ask, are you spoiled? Or are you simply very fortunate?

Yes, you're a little spoiled. Even after she splurged on you, you follow up with "my friends have like way more than me".

count yourself fortunate because there are lots of kids out there in the world who are less fortunate than you, some of them didn't had a meal as yet for the day.

Yeah, you're at least lucky. You're spoiled if you don't appreciate it, or would find it difficult to not have it.
