Alot of people do, especially if they're eating out. It's perfectly fine to do so.

The proof is in the pudding: How is your energy level a few hours later after eating potatoes for breakfast? Some people are sensitive to eating carbohydrates (potato or cereal or sugary breads) for breakfast and have a "sinking spell" and get hungry mid-morning. If this isn't you - if you have energy until lunch, then you're ok. But if you're hungry, have a headache, feel weak, tired, etc. a few hours later you might want to eat some protein - cheese, egg, milk, yogurt, low fat sausage, etc. The other part of your diet that would make or break this breakfast is what else you eat during the day. If you eat other fruits and vegetables later on in the day, that's great! If not, and you're concerned about eating well, then you might want to add some fruit or some veggie juice. Bon apetit!

No, not really. You need to get a more balanced breakfast. You need some protien, fruits, dairy, and complex carbs. A better breakfast for you would be 2 eggs any way you want them, an apple, and some whole wheat toast with spray butter. Also have either a glass of skim milk or light Orange Juice.

Just don't count ketchup as something that is "good for you." It was once tomatoes but it doesn't have the nutritional value anymore. Try hashbrowns with freshly cut organic tomatoes on top. Don't forget to add fruit and whole grains; try a whole grain bagel or toast. It helps with digestion.

It's fine, but you should try and add a bit of protein, maybe an egg, or glass of milk, or some nuts, or yoghurt or cheese. Otherwise, you'll get hungry before lunchtime.
