I don't have an exact recipe, but I make an awesome homemade Shepherds Pie, which is always a real hit.
Make sure you have a nice casserole dish, you want your ingredients enough to cover a layer each.
- I do a mashed potato on the bottom layer.
- Then follow up with a minced beef (I add a nacho mince flavour to it to spice it up)
- A layer of your favourite vegetables (I am quite partial to broccolli)
- Either another layer or mashed potato or a sweet potato (in New Zealand we use Kumera... yum)
- A layer of crispy pom pom potatoes
- Topped with your favourite kind of cheese
Before layering, cook all the ingredients to your liking. Layer the ingredients as above in a casserole or baking dish. Leave the lid off and bake in the oven until golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve with sour cream :)
Yum

Taco Rice
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut in to chunks
2 cans chicken broth
2 cans tomato sauce
2 cans corn, undrained
Package of taco seasoning, mild regular or hot, depending on your liking
3 1/2 cups instant rice, uncooked
Cook the chicken in a large pot, once the chicken is cooked, add the broth, tomato sauce corn and seasoning. Bring to a boil. Boil to cook down for about 3 to 5 minutes. Add the rice, remove from heat and cover. Let sit about 10 minutes or until rice is done. Top each personal plate with grated cheese and a bit of sour cream and much as you like! Eat with tortilla chips, i like to use tostito scoops, they work the best! Hope you like it! It makes quite a bit, so if only serving a few, cut the recipe in half. Really easy, fast and delicious meal!

You could make a chili with either ground beef or ground turkey and then spice it up however much you want. Or a beef stew is very flavorful with herbs, but not spicy.

Will depend on on the context really. Which is better as a snack - fruits for me personally. It's tastier and gives you that little bit of sweetness. Which can be better as a snack if you are trying hard to slice back on sugar and lose weight vegetables
