i do cardio treadmill 7 days a week about 30 - 35 minutes each day. I do yoga 4 times a week, pilates about 2 times a week. Machine equipment (about 15 machines in all) for ENTIRE body toning EVERY two days. I am also dieting.

First off, REALLY dissapointed that I am NOT losing any weight.

Also why does it look like my ankles are getting larger? WHAT is causing that. Before I was excercising my ankles looked smaller.

I don't eat red meat, I don't eat cheese, I eat ALOT of veggies, I eat fruit, about 1 serving of carbs (1 baked potato, or 2 slices of bread, etc.) a day. I eat white meat chicken, fish, definitely lots of salads with about 1 tsp of salad dressing mixed with balsamic or apple cider vinegar. I drink green tea mixed with water. I DON'T eat table salt at all! I don't drink soda of any kind. I drink about 2 cups of coffee a day - no sugar. soy milk in coffee only and it's light soy milk.

No. Look at any long distance runnner their all sticks with tiny ankles. It might be your imagination, but it also could be hinting at a medical problem you might be retaing water in your ankles(this can also be caused by medication) ask your doc or look it up on webmd.com....org...not sure. Retaining water could also be the reason your weight is not dropping.

First of all, you are not dieting. If you want to be successful with getting in shape, you need to think that you are permanently making your eating habits more healthy. If you think that you are dieting, guess what happens when you go off your diet? The key to getting in shape is making both your diet and exercise routine a permanent lifestyle, not a temporary weightloss effort.

Secondly, your ankles should not be getting especially thick. Are they painful or tender in any way? If so, stop exercising and check in with your doctor. If they don't hurt at all, it might be that you are building muscle mass where there wasn't any before. If they continue to grow noticeably bigger, or you experience any pain, you should make an appointment with a personal trainer at your gym, or see a psychical therapist to make sure there is not a problem of some sort. You might want to work with a personal trainer anyways; its a great way to get started in the gym.

first off you are doing way too much cardio and you are probably losing muscle which makes it even harder to burn fat.

cut down your cardio to only 20 minutes a day 5 days a week preferably in the morning before you eat. Also don't eat anything after dinner.

It's possible that your ankles really are swollen just a little from all the pounding you do on them.

cut down on the cardio but up the intensity. try sprinting or put the incline way up and go fast for 30 seconds to 1 minute then slow down for 3 minutes and then go fast again for 30 seconds .
repeat that cycle 6 or 7 times and you'll burn fat like crazy.

people do too much cardio. the real key to having the body you want is from shaping it with muscle which will make it so much easier to get rid of fat.

I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about. The ankle joint itself can get larger due to arthritis and natural aging, but it tends to be a multi-year process and not due to excercise. If by ankle you mean lower leg - there is little muscle there to enlarge with exercise, but if you lose fat in the upper part of the leg, it can make the lower leg seem larger.

there is no skeletal around the ankle to grow, most likely something in your diet is causing you to hold water.

you are exercising but what about the diet? that's what determines the size and shape of the body. you need to make sure that you are consuming enough calories and ingesting plenty of whole foods.

Edit:

losing weight on the scale doesn't mean it was fat. unless you have been getting your body fat analyzed you have no idea if it was water, muscle or fat. losing "weight" on the scale is easy, decreasing body fat while preserving muscle mass is not

Running that much is probably just causing your ankles to swell from the impact.
