Dude, where's your code of ethics, man? And you call yourself Superman? Come on!
"If your neighbor is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In so doing, you will heap burning coals upon his head."

Yes, because no matter who my neighbors are I am a good person. As it is now I have a neighbor that accuses me of abusing her dogs. Today her dog was chained up in her yard and managed to get under the fence into ours. He couldn't hardly move so I called them and let them know. They weren't home so I kept the dog at my house. I could have been mean and taken it to the humane society but I wasn't about to stoop to her level.

The Golden Rule states: Do unto men as you would have men do unto you. These are the words of Jesus,Muhammad,Buddha, and Zoroaster. It doesn't mean if people are cruel and heartless to you that you should be cruel and heartless to them. It means if you want to be honored and respected by people you should in turn honor and respect them, even if they at first didn't honor and respect you. This is one of the most difficult trials of being a Christian. So to answer your question, I still would have saved them. Words can be forgotten, love can't.

If you have the chance to go in and save them and then don't, you are nothing more than a low life murderer. You are worse than a gossip.

Our former next door neighbor actually threatened my dad with a gun when grass went into his yard from our lawn mower, among other things that he pulled, but when his house caught on fire, my dad and our two neighbors across the street actually went into his house to save him...
He's lucky my dad wasn't a holder of grudges...

yes I would help them but I would have told them way before the fire that no one wants to hear their gossip all the time. I hate negative people.

Yes, of course I would. Not saving people from burning houses (when you can do it) is murder. Don't you think murder is more "horrid" than gossip?
