You walk out of the house, take a trip to an old people's home, and talk to a few lonely old men and women who are probably more alone than you. Then you walk out and give a sandwich to a homeless person and talk to them and find out how really lonely they really are. You can repeat this with all sorts of people in our society. When you go back home, you might - hopefully - realize that you are still at a point in life where things can change for the better. You can dust yourself up, wipe your tears and self assess your real situation. There's probably many people who would love to talk to you, to hang out with you, to know you. Maybe you even know of some. Maybe you never gave them the chance. If you believe in God, you must remember that as long as there's breath in you, you're never alone. Never. You must believe, hope and move on. God is with you and He will surely bring the right person in your life and this period of your life will be just a memory. God bless you

I only ever feel completely and horribly alone if I'm having sex with someone. I deal with it by not having sex with anyone. This makes me one of the world's very very few celibate atheists. I'm a lot prouder of this than I have any real right to be.
