Yes, it does. Weight Watchers is basically watching how many calories you consume a day, but also keeps track of Dietary Fibers and Fat.
When dieting, the real trick is to consume a limited amount of calories, which is what Weight Watchers does, except in a "point" system. When loosing weight, exercise is not necessary, however, it is a tremendous help if you do (and better for your health). The number of calories you burn while exercising is minimal and is not ideal as a way to lose weight by itself (unless you want to play 5 hours of basketball a day).
Personally, I'm not a fan of the Weight Watcher recipes. However, the "Cooking Light" magazine has some excellent recipes with stats, so you can still keep track of the Weight Watcher points.

I am sure it does, (I work with ladies that have success stories on the weight watcher website, I see them everyday and see their success, but it is all in each person, how commited one can be to count points everyday, jot down every food you put in your mouth, and sit thru a weekly 30 minute meeting, hearing what works for each person (those that choose to speak) and listen to the instructor share her weight loss stories.
