If we had supported Iraq before in the war against Iran, then why were we so worried about Saddam repressing the shiites?
Shouldn't we want the shiites to be repressed and seperated from Iran?
Hasn't this become an evident truth since the main enemy our soldiers are facing now are the shiite insurgency?

Not all Shiites are terrorists...The "government" of Iran supports terrorism....but many people in Iran are pro-west....and most of them are Shiite
The problem is not as simple as you would like to believe
Shiites are not restricted to Iran....Many Middle East countries have huge Shiite populations.... One of the reasons Jordan never supported the war was the fact that many in their military are Shiite.
BTW We also supported the Iranians in their war against Iraq
You need to stop relying on simple labels....there are a lot of Shiites in Iraq who support us....fight along side of us.....die with us

Your correct about who are problems are in Iraq. Which by the way the latest news is that we have had our lowest death for the 3rd month in a row. However,can't say Shiites are part of the Axis. Shiites is not a government like the Taliban, nor are the a group who's idealogy is terror like Al Quadia. Shiites is a religion. And you have bad apples in Iraq that are working with Iran Shiites insurgents. To truly stop this problem we need to stomp Iran into the ground

you are confusing a government with a religion, the government of Iran is part of the axis, not the people. And so not the Iraqi Shiites as a people.

I would rather have this "axis of evil" Iraqi Shiites in power with there little AK-47s than some crazy dictator trying to get WMD and threatening to take the US off the map.

I am an Iranian and I tell you the truth. after the americans freed Afhanistan and Iraq we were so happy because we thought that we were the third nation to be free. but our tricky regime sent its agents to Iraq to mess everything to make US stop liberating countries. So Know That The Source OF Every Evil Is Iranian Regime.
