ask your recruiter to get you a Re-No. You should have read your contract carefully. Good luck on the Re-nogotiation.

Your screwed buddy. If you didn't get in writing that you could be a pilot, then you wont get into the program. Your best bet is to either find a way out of enlisting and re-up with the guarantee, or just hope you can catch a break by talking to your recruiter and your officers. There is such a high rate of enlistment for the pilot programs that for most you have to already have some form of private training or certificates.

1. The ones who fly planes in the Navy are not pilots. They are Naval aviators. Pilots steer ships in and out of port and through certain waterways.
2. The bare minimum for becoming a Naval aviator is a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
3. The physical requirements to become a Naval aviator are quite a bit higher than those for enlistment in the Navy. Especially standards for visual acuity.
4. It is clear to me that you will be training to become a member of the Navy Seabees, the construction and engineering arm of the Navy.
5. You might be able to renegotiate entry for training and assignment in an aviation rate as an enlisted man.

Navy Enlisted Job Descriptions & Qualifications
Construction Electrician CE. 1st off many pilots have titles starting out. Dude, You need a Bachelors Degree 1st. Assuming you have this. You need to take the Officer exam, Assuming you passed this. You also need pass the Pilot exam. Assuming you did this. You will need to pass the Pilot Physical exam. If you done all this I'll assume that you are in line to become a pilot.
Note: My usage of the word "Assume". Ya know the saying. "Don't assume anything cause if you do. You'll make an AS* out of U and ME" (assume):~)

There are no enlisted pilots in the Navy.

You have to be an Officer, which requires a BS Degree.

Don't let the negative answers scare you. You're not screwed. Make sure you discuss this thoroughly with your recruiter. You swore in, but you haven't shipped out for bootcamp yet. You can change your contract or even decide not to go in to the Navy until you sign the FINAL contract just prior to shipping out for bootcamp. Your recruiter should be able to clarify everything and make any necessary changes. Be firm (but polite).

unless you have a bachelors degree forget about being a pilot until you get one. and about the marriage thing it's really up to you but being a military wife isn't easy and she should be ok with that.

You should have read your contract better. Now you are trapped. Expect being away from home a lot. If I were you I would put that marriage on hold.
