Avoid foods containing corn, seeds and nuts.
And ask your doctor for more information.

P.S. I really like what "Pip" (below) had to tell you about it.
He is exactly right with the information he has given you.
My father had diverticulitis, as well.
He died last year (not from that) and I miss him very much.
This is so strange, but... my dad's nick name was "Pip."
No, I'm NOT joking.

No Nuts, no Seeds, and no PopCorn.. (and as far as seeds.. remember that things like salsa have tomato seeds.. even those will do the job)

Eat whole grain foods

If it starts to hurt.. or you get a fever.. head to the doc to get antibiotics... it's a lot better than being hospitalized.. which is what will happen if you let it continue.

-Dad has diverticulitis.
