The definition of faith is not "belief without evidence."
Every book in the NT is filled with comments like "come let us reason together" "be prepared to give a reason for your belief" and "this is what you saw with your own eyes." Paul argued about the reasonableness of his beliefs, argued with the "men of Athens" and appealed numerous times to Jewish eyewitnesses of the events surrounding the life of Jesus. If only 8 of the 64 messianic predictions were true, the likelihood statistically that they could have been predicted as they were hundreds of years BC is about 10 to the 17th. power. The gospels were written in primitive form and were widely circulated while eyewitnesses of the life of Jesus were still alive. They were read and never refuted by those who were actually alive at the time.
Christianity has a huge pile of evidence that supports it.
Faith is choosing to live a certain way. It is based on reasoning and rationality. God often performed (and still performs) miracles so that people might believe.
One example that now occurs rather frequently is that entire villages in closed (Muslim) countries will have the same dream at the same night. It is a dream about Jesus. There have been numerous examples of entire villages converting to Christianity due to having this dream. This dream is the number one way Iranians are converted, believe it or not. And then they seek out a Bible if they can find one. And they really never even heard of Jesus before. So go figure. It happens. Healings happen, too. Also, knowing things there is no possible way you could know happens (both of the above have personally happened to me--I guess you can say, oh you are psychic and tapping into some unkown mental energy, but I say it wasn't me)

Even when He performed miracles, Jesus constantly told people that their faith had made them well, or whole, or caused the miracle to be done. Take the example of the Roman centurion who told Him that he wasn't worthy that Jesus should come to his house, but if He would say the word then his servant would be healed. This exemplifies this point. It takes as much faith to believe a miracle and receive a miracle as it does to believe without one. God is still in the miracle business, but He doesn't perform them so that people will believe on Him unless performing them will lead people to believe on Him. He performs many miracles today that people still don't believe.

But "he" doesn't perform miracles. The Big Story Book tells stories of his biblical miracles, but strangley "he" has not performed any since then. All his biblical quality miracles happened in stories. If there was a "god" there would be no need to rely on "faith."

This is the Babble fish paradox....God wants us to know he is with us and will show himself. The ones who see a "miracle"
only get a glimpse that God is with us. Then there are some who are blessed to see the fact the simplest atom is a miracle because of how much they seek God.

To bless us and encourage our faith in Him. O.K.!!! Evidence is NOT faith. Faith is believing in and hoping for something that is not seen!!! The Evidence of God is declared throughout all the universe! He does not have to perform any miracles to prove His Existance. The main reason He does is to show His Creation that He Loves to Bless them. Just out of curiosity, how come 'atheists' ask and attempt to answer questions about God when they could really care less, except to be rude??????

There are no miracles.

None of the "miracles" Jesus performed in Biblical times were ever documented anywhere else other than the Bible...that makes them highly suspect.

Nothing that happens today doesn't have a logical explanation. Even if one can't be found at the time, doesnt mean one doesn't exist....

Pascal's wager in common terms works in case you assume Christianity is actual. otherwise, there is not any God determine to wager against. From a nontheistic point of view, that's merely too obscure a reasoning to evaluate. very nicely, I contend that it may be greater advantageous to have self assurance in God than to no longer, yet which God do i %? lower back, Pascal's wager assumes the Christian God is actual. faith is a mandatory condition for those arguments to paintings; arguments that attempt to coach God's existance or necessity interior the 1st place! Behold, the atheist's counter-wager: stay your existence nicely, and do all you are able to to help mankind. If God does not exist, a minimum of you used your one existence nicely. If God does exist, he will reward your love and kindness. If God does not reward you given which you probably did no longer have self assurance in him, that may not the form of God you're able to prefer to spend eternity with in any case.

God does not perform miracles. It is humans who perform miracles through his grace.

God's miracles are not for those who expect it but to them who just believe in Him even if He doesn't perform any of them. "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." (John 20:29)
