If evolution is false (as creationists claim) where is the intelligence in creating the rudiments of legs in a marine mammal, which then disappear as the embryo matures?
But wait... they don't always disappear!
Modern cetaceans not only have pelvic bones, but some species also have femurs (that's the big bone in your thigh), while still others have a remnant pelvis, femur and TIBIA as well! Some such remnants on rare occasions even buldge or protrude from the cetacean's body! For photos just google: Cetacean Evolution.
One species, the Right Whale, features remnants of femurs, tibias AND the synovial capsules around the joints connecting them to one another, exactly what one would expect to find if they were the remnants of hind-limbs.
Your god INTELLIGENTLY designed these animals to have the remnants of hind legs? What was the reason? Please explain this to me, because all I see is a warm blooded, air breathing land creature that returned to living in the sea.

I stand back in awe at your tremendous efforts to get them to see things in a scientific light. You are one of a kind, and ask the most fantastic questions.
I read the answers and cringe at the level of ignorance and blind faith, faith that renders people blind to reality and logic.
Can they be THAT afraid of knowing the truth. The truth truly does set one free, but it comes with a price, and that is the knowledge and ACKNOWLEDGMENT of our own mortality and eventual disappearance from existence.
No god designed these wondrous creatures, it was random selection and survival of the fittest. They aren't going to give you a cogent explanation, but you are to be congratulated on your efforts on behalf of the scientific among us.

I will never cease to be amazed at how deftly creationists can dodge such concise questions as yours.. Not ONE has actually answered the question at all, typical. They cannot answer your question because if they were able, they wouldn't believe what they do.. I have tried so many times to get creationists to answer these kinds of questions but it's like asking someone who is illiterate to read you a book.. impossible. You have to learn how to read first, and with creationists they need to learn how to question but they can't because they have been indoctrinated so thoroughly they have ceased to question anything.. Your question is great but it will go largely unanswered by your target audience, instead people who already have questioned and reached the same conclusion will simply commiserate with you.. A wise man once said "The only good is knowledge, the only evil is ignorance" such a simple truth that is displayed daily on this forum..
The answer to your question is quite simple too.. There is NO reason at all for a creator to design an animal with vestigal limbs that lives in the ocean.. The only explanation at all is that the animal gradually moved from a land based dwelling to an aquatic dwelling and adapted to that environment, shedding it's inefficent walking limbs for efficient swimming appendages.. There is NO OTHER possible explanation... the only reconcilliation is to believe a god created life and then let it evolve, or believe no being was involved and evolution did it all..

Excellent question! I didn't even know that about cetaceans! I would love to give a detailed response, but Lady Morgana and Kelly C have already responded better than I ever could.

It must have taken God a long time to get it right that is all I can say. However, life began in the sea from one cell micro organisms. The question then is how did moister appear on this planet. Is it part of a rock nucleus called the god element that contained that part of the atom structure to bring moister into the atmosphere enabling moss to grow allowing evaporation into the air to cause rain.
Once the rains fell pools of water collected into streams and started to form the oceans. Then micro organisms began to grow and absorb carbon and transformed one cells into to cells and so on till life started to grow in the ocean or lakes and rivers.
Well it goes something like that until homo erect-us then homo sapians jumped for joy when they ate that first apple.

As you can see, pointing out these uncomfortable truths makes some people mad. Another fact you missed is that former land mammals with legs like whales and dolphins are now swimming around in the ocean with fins. That is a special inconvenience for young earthers since no whale with legs was on the ark.

What does God do when he “considers” things? Does he like to watch tornadoes hurl mobile homes through the air as he “ponders” over a decision? Or, maybe he just likes to go to Hooters and have a few beers.

Sadly, the creationist movement uses supernatural intervention (a "creator") as an explanation for natural processes. They will never listen to evidence. It's like the fourteenth century when Europeans believed that the plague was a punishment from god, instead of an indifferent microbe.
The difference is that people today have the opportunity to learn about science but choose not to do so if it conflicts with prearranged beliefs. Sorry dude. At least there are a few of us out there who prefer to learn about this amazing universe, instead of shoving it into an ancient box. .

MAGIC! Nice try. What I've heard is that things like that and fossils etc, were created by magical satan in order to trick us into not believing. And it seems to be working quite well! hooray!!

We have not yet seen the beginnings of intelligent design.... These will be the products from the future fruits of science and technology.
What is today called "Intelligent Design" is merely a guise to create credence for biblical creation and supply pseudo theories as reasons to teach religion in public schools. The entire movement is religiously motivated nonsense ---- and it certainly isn't science.
Teaching the 'history of religion' and/or 'comparative religion' in public schools is a good idea while the teaching of detailed dogmas and unsupported beliefs of any single religion is not.
