A. Chad Knaus. Very technical, serious, you come in early every day and you pretty much call all the shots.
OR
B. Steve Letarte. You're more personable. You involve the driver more in the decisions than a guy like Knaus does. Your day starts a little later. you do things a little more by feel.

...Chad Knaus - I love the technical approach. I think if you have everyone's trust that you have the technology under control then relations among team members goes well.
...I think that is the reason you see a lot of teams falling apart and selling out, merging, and cutting each other's throats (so to speak). I think they are behind on the COT and have been from the beginning of the year. They are just getting frustrated at a few select teams dominating.

I'd be more like Steve Latarte. I believe you need to have that strong personal relationship with your crew,owner, and driver.
I would listen to the ideas given to me but I would have the final say in what would happen. Steve has made a few risky decisions that have paid off for Gordon this year.
Buliding that solid personal relationship quickly has led Gordon to a very successful year this year. He still is in the hunt to get the championship.
Chad is a great crew chief. His style is just not mine.

I think I am lot more like Steve. I'm very personable and I make decisions at the moment, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't, but I do things more on feel.
