Basically I bought a new laptop and it, of course, came with the free trial of 2007, but I have 2003 for my desktop computer and I want to put it on my laptop. I have no plans to purchase the 2007 at this time because there is no way I can afford it. I like some of the features on the 2007, so I'd hate to delete it before the trial is over. Will this cause any problems if I try to install the 2003 software without deleting the 2007?

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers this. :)

Yes you can have both intstalled. The ONLY thing you have to do is is pick which outlook you want. You can only have 1 on the machine. Once the trial is done, you can uninstall it. As for the documents, you can change the 2007 defaults to us the older extentions. the doc, xls and so on.

Yes, but don't.
Documents created or edited and saved in Office 2007 mode will not be usable in Office 2003.
You'll get a shock when the trial's over.
Unless you like the gimmicks, Office 2007 is not required.

You can buy the OEM version cheap from any Eastern European on-line companies. Though, be extra careful and use your virtual credit card number with a limit on dollar amount.

No you cannot....not under the same OS.
Multiple issues will arise. Especially where Outlook is concerned.
In any case .... attempting to install 2003 on a PC which has 2007 (even trial) will generate prompts detailing your options.

Yes I currently do have both versions - you must designate one version as the default. I choose 2003 as my default. Sometimes i will start to open something off the web and it will show the 2007 icon and i click to open with another program, open the list and scroll till I get to my 2003 version.

2007 actually upgrades 2003; so doubt you could have both versions, if you have 2003 installed when you pop the 2007 CD it will only allow you to click on Upgrade and the installatio will overwrite 2003 and update it to the new one.

You don't have Office 2007, so don't worry about it.
