Last night, my ,9 year old black lab-golden retrever, dog was barking. I didnt think much of it cause he does it whenever he sees something. However, when i let him in the house the next morning, he was slow to get in. He can't look up now for some reason. (unless he is sitting down) when he was laying down and i was next to him and called him, instead of lifting his head up, he just shifted his eyes to me. he is having trouble getting up, and only wants to lay down. Is he sick or did something bad happen to him? I will appreciate any sort of help.

No one here can tell you what happened or what is wrong with your dog. He need to see a vet, something happened and it has injured your dog. He need help only a vet can give him.

Have him seen as soon as you can so he can get the help he needs.

Call the vet, right away. This could be nearly anything, but whatever it is, the longer you wait to have it looked at, the more it will probably cost to treat, and it may be much harder to treat.

it seems as though a vet visit is needed, you want to check it out no matter what. Good luck and you may want to keep your dog inside at night becuase whatever happened you wouldnt want to happen again.
