What is the best alternative instead of using a rotary beater?

I want to make some mash potatoes but i dont have a rotary beater and the recipe says i need to whip the potatoes with one any other suggestions?

If you have a hand potato masher you can use that too. I use mine all the time, they work fine but just require a little more effort.

I would use my electric mixer - either hand or stand. If you don't have either of those, then a whisk or a wooden spoon with lots of elbow grease will work also.

Are you making instant mashed potatoes or what?
