Sorry, you have to take the prescribed medicine in order for the thyroid gland to function properly. I have had "hypothyroidism" for years, & I have never missed taking my medicine or getting the bloodwork done to check the levels in the thyroid gland. You are asking for trouble, plain & simple, if you don't take the prescribed medicine. Be thankful that you have a condition that can be corrected by taking one pill each day. Many people would envy you. Since you want to lose weight, you can eat healthy & exercise daily. Those two things will definitely raise your energy level. Take the medicine & avoid some serious problems.

You can actually help your thyroid naturally and it is a prescribed medication. Armour thyroid is a natural med that has been around over 100 years. In some countries, it is considered an anti-anging supplement. Many people find it works better for them because it contains both T4 and T3. The other thyroid meds are mostly T4 only. I switched 5 years ago and it has made a huge difference. Armour helps with symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, depression, hairloss, energy level, and muscle and joint aches.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

Your Dietary Defense
Making dietary changes is your first line of defense in treating hypothyroidism. Many people with hypothyroidism experience crippling fatigue and brain fog, which prompts reaching for non-nutritional forms of energy like sugar and caffeine. I’ve dubbed these rascals the terrible twosome, as they can burn out your thyroid (and destabilize blood sugar).
Just say no to the dietary bungee cord.
Up the protein
My friend suffered for hypothyroid 2 years ago. she read a book on the internet which is useful for her disease. you can see the book at: http://adola.net/go/hypothyroidismrevolution/

The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland that sits low on the front of the neck. Your thyroid lies below your Adam’s apple, along the front of the windpipe. The thyroid has two side lobes, connected by a bridge (isthmus) in the middle. When the thyroid is its normal size, you’re unlikely to be able to feel it.
All types of hyperthyroidism are due to overproduction of thyroid hormones, but the condition can develop in several ways.
Thyroid hormone production can be suppressed or halted completely in these ways: https://tr.im/gLIxf
