You will need
A JOB
A BETTER ATTITUDE THAN THE ONE YOU HAD AT HOME
A HAIRCUT
A SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY
A PEN AND PAPER TO WRITE AN APOLOGY LETTER TO YOUR PARENTS.

First you need a job. Most rentals want first and last month's rent plus a cleaning deposit. Many come with fridge availability. If you're just renting a room, why not offer to pay rent to your parents? If you're doing your laundry at a laundramat, soap is available there from a machine. You'll need personal hygiene stuff. Just think about what you do every day, what you use and make sure you have it when you move. Good luck. I had to boot both of my sons out, it was a tough decision but in both cases it worked out for the best. Both guys have grown into good responsible adults.

The things you'll need/use the most would probably be....
Laundry detergent. A laundry basket or bag. A microwave. A toaster if you have the money. A fan if you won't have air conditioning. 2 sets of sheets (1 on the bed, 1 to be washed) and a blanket and/or duvet. Hangers. A fridge and freezer if there's not already one in there (freezer included is especially good because then you can get frozen food, which means less cooking and time!). Toilet plunger. Tilex or something to help you get the mold out of the shower. Toilet cleaner. Toilet paper. Paper towels. Power strips (the thing that you plug in to the outlet, and on it it has like 6 extra outlets). Utensils. Plates/bowls/glasses.

Well first you have to see what you can afford. advice number one If you can't cook LEARN TO RIGHT AWAY. cooking for yourself is way cheaper than eating out. you can spend a good 3 month on a bag of rice which is like $19 dollars and buying different meats etc.. to ad to it. Second well of course a place with an oven and fridge... the most you'll need to worry about is what to eat and your bills... make sure you only get the necesitites you really don't need cable unless you still want the high speed internet.... Don't party too much because well you're going to need that cash to for more important thing.

and lastely make sure you have a job that pays you a decent ammount so you can live on that. ...

I do have another option... get financial aide and move into a dorm.. and hopefully they will cover your dorm that way you'll be safe for the spring and summe semester at least lol.. but thats streching it.

most important-- a job.

start small at first and gradually buy what you'll need. sleep on the floor on a sleeping bag for a while if you have too. live cheap as long as you can. ramen noodles are a great meal. canned soup. peanut butter. you can live without a fridge for awhile. get cheap canned food.

if your place doesnt furnish a stove -- get a microwave if you really need it and when you can afford it. or buy a george foreman grill -- those cook sandwiches, tost, meat, pizza, burritos, get creative with it. wash your clothes in the sink with shampoo or bar soap if you have to. good luck. living cheap can be done.

Comfortable bed and bedding...........because you will need a good and restful nights' sleep in order to get up in the morning and face your day.

Dresser, mirror, bathroom necessities, towel and washcloth, alarm clock, coffee maker, hangers, a small television or radio, telephone with answering machine (when I rented a room I had the voice mail that you had to call in to get. That protected my privacy from my roommates) and a locking doorknob for your room.

A lamp for your room, a chair, and maybe a small table if you can fit it. A small fridge if you can swing it and atleast one plate, bowl, cup and silverware if possible.

A hamper. Hangers.

bedding , cooking utensils, small tv, dvd player helps, money, food a small fridge is a good idea, books, mobile phone, a laptop would be great, clothes , washing for clothes dises and self, all your relevant id and documentation, and a plan of what to do so you don't move in have nothing to do and just think about your old life a new and challenging time, just remember, that which does not kill me makes me stronger..

Whatever you do, get into the habit of grocery shopping. eating out (even if its only fast food) adds up real quick and it's hard to see just how much you're really wasting. load up on toilet paper when it's on sale because its amazing how fast you go thru it.
