I have two teeth in the bottom front that are slightly off-ish due to crowding. One slants a little back and the other one slants foward. It's not THAT bad, but can anyone tell me if this problem can be fixed by a minor dental work (like surgery or something) or would braces be nescessary?

Although they're very expensive, I've heard that Invisalign braces are good for people with slightly crooked teeth.

Well retainers do not move teeth, they will retain them in one place so that will not help your crooked problem. Invisalign does work if you wear it properly, your friend probably did not wear them for 20-22 hours a day. I have it and the results have been amazing Invisalign is more expensive than braces and will take longer though and is a lot more work.

Its possible you could have these teeth crowned for cosmetic reasons, but it sounds like this could be the result of crowding which would indicate the need for an orthodontist to evaluate you for braces. Talk to your regular dentist and see if he thinks you need a referral or if you are a candidate for cosmetic dental work.
