Yes... it depends on if it's an atheist being humorous or a religionist who is perhaps serious.

Yes, it does depend on who asks.

A young child, a teenager, and an adult can all ask the same question (that is use the same wording, stressing or pausing at different places may make the question different), but the answer would have to be tailored to their ability to understand.

I realize that you used the example of theist as opposed to atheist, my answer is still the same. It has to be geared to the individuals ability to understand.

I barely know anyone here, so it wouldn't matter Who asked the question.

However, How it was asked does matter. I have a nasty habit of playing Devil's Advocate, which is easy for me to do since my beliefs are kinda against most others, in many respects. Generally, the opinion of the writer does get into the question, and I'll often post Against that slant.

Unless its a rare case of me actually fully agreeing.

Regardless of how I slant my answer, I always answer the truth to the best of my ability. Just which facet of the truth may change.

If a person is a theist they believe in the bible and God, usually. An Athiest doesn't...so you have to answer religious or philosophical and moral questions differently, considering the beliefs of who you are talking to.

If I know who is asking it, I respond accordingly. If it's a random person, then I answer to the best of my ability at that time.
