If god is real, why didn't he intelligently design our hearts not to break?

Maybe the broken heart is a result of original sin. Maybe the fruit Eve ate actually had lots of cholesterol. And I know for a fact that that 90s pop-country song, "Achy Breaky Heart" is a sin against humanity.

Yes, one of the main tenets of Buddhism is that attachment creates suffering. However, to say "don't be attached" is really not possible for most people to accept. It takes time and much more understanding of Buddhism to even begin to accept the whole concept of not clinging. The idea is to turn towards the emotion you have, recognize it, accept it and let it go. This takes lots of practice, but over time it does really work. Emotions are something that each of us really do have control over, although there may be times when it doesn't seem like it. Another way to help understand this idea is to try to project yourself into the future, when you know you will be able to look back at what you did feel now and see how that feeling did in fact subside, or maybe went away completely. The reality is that emotions change. Make any sense?

When you go somewhere other than your own house e.g a friends house, do you notice that the place smells different. I bet they think the same when they go to your house. The only reason you don't notice the smell in your house.

Now imagine that your heart was always full of joy, at exatcly the same level. In time you would begin to look past it, ignore it, take it for granted. What life would that be? By having ups and downs in our lives it creates contrast between our emotions. So we need to have bad days and broken hearts every now and again to feel happy and love. Without contrast, we would just float through life.

Sorry you've had a bad day... I've "been there-got the t-shirt" regarding a broken heart... as many have... as you can see.

However, what makes you think that God's heart does not break, too? That He does not experience sadness and hurt? It is not a sin to be sad and to hurt.

God made Mankind in His image, it is in the likeness of God mentally, morally, and socially. God has emotions, emotions are not in themselves sinful. God gets angry, we get angry. God loves, we love. It's what we DO, how we react to those emotions that is sinful or not.

Trust me, when God sees the pain, suffering and hurt that humans cause other humans, His heart breaks, too... and yet, He keeps loving us, and hoping that we will "find Him" and learn to love as He loves.

we all need to experience what God has gone through and the almighty one has been through allot I sure would,nt want his job there is allot of heart ache there look at the world today. ,but remember with heart ache there comes relief in knowing that one day things will get better and love will be a part of your life right now and believe me if you think God isn't thinking of you , he is right now he is there the most even though you don't think so , I had my heart torn out when my son died and even though i thought it would never mend i realized God was there beside me . if none of us were to go through heart ache than we would be missing the part of healing and realizing what love really is. i know this may not give you the best answer ,but i wish you the best and keep your chin up.

Wow! Because that's just what happened during our evolution.
I hate to make your day worse but there is no God & people need to stop being so scared & just face the truth.
As soon as you post something anti God people go mad, be brave & dont just thumbs me down cos you cant handle the truth.
If there was a God why does he make people suffer? Let Children get slaughtered? Inoccent people die? Millions get persacuted? Countries starve?

God is Love, and all is perfect in the true and spiritual sense. We experience a mortal sense of things, and this is where the heart felt pain is, but not in God. While one experiences the heart felt pain, it is hard to imagine that the image of God, man, is not subject to this mortal situation.
It is very hard, but you will get through it, and a better time and day is coming.

I think this is a really good question, not cheesy =). Well i think a big part of life is feeling emotions so if he designed our hearts not to break we wouldnt really feel some of these emotions. So i guess its a big part of our lives. Hope this helped.

god is real and so maybe your pain but he must of gave us emotions for a reason and that would be to love each person who come into our lives .if that person breaks or heart through disappointments we still love them and remember the memories . ii still a hurtful thing no matter what ..
