Please read the 22nd amendment much more carefully...

The 22nd Amendment

Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Section. 2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission to the States by the Congress.

Ratification was completed on February 27, 1951.

This means no President can hold office for more than 2 terms whether they be consecutive or not 2 is the limit...

Bush sr. can run as he only held the office for 1 term, but Bush jr is done he can never be President again...

How about asking an honest question about Bush's intentions if he were able to be president again. Was his spending bad? Yes, but here's what the people you listen to for your information didn't tell you. After implementation of the Tax Relief and Reconciliation Act of 2003 (part 2 of the Bush Tax cuts), unemployment dropped from 6.3% and kept on dropping into the 1st quarter of 2007 to a low of 4.4%. This increased revenue to the government. Each of his 2nd term yearly deficits step down significantly, starting with $600 billion, to a low of less than $200 billion in 2007, on track with the projection of a balanced budget in 2010. This, when Bush spending did not decrease. The economy grew at a rate of 3%. All of Bush's gains were blown out of the water by the mortgage meltdown, unrelated to the tax cuts. Assuming Bush could pick up were he left off with the intentional policies he started, by "mid-term", we would have a balanced budget. The wrench thrown into the works would be dealing with the failed Obama economy. Although Bush did contribute to the creation of the mortgage meltdown and subsequent recession, any legitimate Bush bashing ended when the recession was over, in July 2009. The lack of recovery is all on Obama's shoulders. Bush would NOT proceed with the onslaught of regulatory red-tape unleashed by Washington onto business, big and small. Putting a stop to this would immediately result in business owners climbing out of their foxholes and be willing to expand. Rolling back a number (not all) of the red-tape would help even more. Just HOW would six more months of Bush "bankrupt" American? This, when he was making inroads to cutting his deficts? Obama has added $6 trillion in debt over four years. Are you somehow suggesting that Bush would spend this and more in six months? Your Bush argument relies on spiteful, empty, emotional, superficial rhetoric. Ask yourself why you are providing a more substantial argument. I suspect this is because this is all the people you listen to, can muster. Why is that?

Who told you this? Nothing is addressed in the 22nd amendment about consecutive terms. Get your facts together. What is amazing is the number of possible eligible voters on here that are not smart enough to know that. Amazing.

I predict we won't have to wait till 2012. I think Bush will pull one of those deals like the president of Pakistan did and suspend the Constitution to try to stay in power.

No, that is when all the people of Mayan descent are going to drop dead suddenly.

I am cultivating friends of Mayan heritage right now in anticipation of reaping the harvest.

PS: I, also, have some conservative Christian friends that say I can have their stuff when they Rapture.
