As mentioned before, the boardwalk and the canals are pretty much it. But both are definitely worth checking out.

The canals are beautiful and a cool reminder of Venice's past.

The boardwalk is pretty much the ultimate in people watching. There are a couple of places along the boardwalk where you can rent bikes. It's pretty cheap and you can bike up the coast all the way to Santa Monica, which is a nice ride.

Also, if you like Italian food, don't miss C&O Trattoria for amazing family style fare.

We'll whether you want to or not, you'll probably see a nicely tanned bum wearing a thong as he bends over digging through the trash. That site is still embedded into my brain.

There's a lot of art, magic and theatrical shows on the board walk, and plenty of tattoo parlors.
