calmness before the storm. I accept your apology and the rest of your answer is kind of what i believed anyway. I have heard an idea that because the male sometimes leave the
female after copulation; various religous books could have been written by children rasied by lone parents. but i am not sure about that.

Hayzyoleh!
This is a very good question! The reason why many people think that Yah is a male is because of indoctrination.People learnt from the churhes and from the reading of the bible that Yah was/is male. However,I differ. When I look at nature I see that it takes male/female to kreate(create) a child. When I look at nature I see that there is no male with out female,no female without male.In everthing and every sycle(cycle) in life there must be equilibrium. With that being said,if there is a male Yah there must be a female Yah as well.Just the same way alot of people believe that lucifer is a male. However,if there's a male lucifer there must be a female lucifer as well. For some reason the churches and alot of other religions have chosen to exclude the female Yah.However,I do not blame the churhes I blame the beings who desided(decided) to tamper with the written word as well as the ancient history of the devine begining. God is neither.
But English and some other languages out there dont have pronouns free of sex.
Your asking this question suggests you havent read any scripture in another language. And that you know very little about the languages of the world.
Go international! Knowledge will free you :)
Edit: I fully apologize for mistaking you for a non educated persona. Looking from your point of view the only probable answer is the following: there is no proof. And people are highly mistaken when they do think that.
However God has prefered to call Himself with the male pronoun in many of the languages that scripture existed simply because these cultures were already male dominant. for God to suppose the female pronoun wud have put them off from reading the book completely.

Who said HE is male?
Referring to God as "He" or "Father" does not indicate he is regarded as male. Unknown entities should always be referred to as male from a linguistic point of view. Even the human race is MANkind, but this includes women too!
No, I really do get the essence of the question. I can read. Why do people think god is male. THINK without evidence. There is none, just supposition, and indoctrination. And no evidence at all that there is a god. Not a shred. Of course any gender is only notional when referring to a deity.

I think it's fair to say that all of the evidence supporting the hypothesis that God exists, can also be read as supporting the hypothesis that God is male. (That is, his mention in the Bible... Male pronoun.)

From the Christian perspective, scripture *only* refers to God as male - never as female. The "masculine when uncertain" theory doesn't apply here, as there is no uncertainty in scripture with respect to God's gender.

genesis says let us create in our own image.....then he created a man. he refers to himself as our father. fathers are males- only on planet earth where we are screwed up as can be does there have families with female fathers lik ein lesbian parents.......so read it in the scriptures for yourself. if you count on people on here- who are only on here to get points and dont care about you or the question then your taking a huge risk.
