If you are trying to piss him off, try "Cornholio". That will get an unambigious response that "Dude" might not.

It beats being called...well, what some other people might call a Trooper. I see nothing offensive about it. (In Oregon, the Trooper is most likely going to write you a ticket regardless of what you call him.) Drive safe! ;0)

Most officers will give you the same respect you give them. Politeness and honesty can go a long way with a police officer. How do you expect police to respect people who do not respect them?

Sure, go for it. It's your life to live. If it is the wrong choice, at least it will be your mistake. And if this particular choice ends up with you in prison where your colon is treated like an amusement park, then just use it as a lesson to wise up.

Only if you want a 100% chance of getting a ticket. May be he was only going to give you a warning but you pissed him off.

Yes of course.
Be sure to press hard when you sign the ticket, there's 3 copies.

No, address him/her politely, or you are guaranteed a ticket if you call him/her that.

Thanks for the two points.
