I'm doing a school project Brochure on Microsoft Publisher. i want it in a A3 format but it comes up as A4. i went into page setup and looked for A3 size but it came up as a heap of dimensions e.c.t. (poster 18 x 24 in). i don't have an A3 printer connected at the moment, does it matter? its at school. if you know the dimensions of A3 paper or any other way you can help please do.

A3 paper = 297 x 420 millimeters (11.69 x 16.54 inches)

Here are the dimensions
A3
Width: 11.693
Height: 16.535
Publisher limits you, I would design the piece using Photoshop GIMP

Sounds like maybe something is set to metric sizes. There is a lot to paper sizes, european, american etc. You can learn all about it at the article link below.
