do people actually worship satan? back when i was in high school, there were a few kids who claimed to be satan worshipers...turns out they mostly iust hung around together reading hp lovecraft, playing with their ouija boards, and grumbling about being picked on by the popular kids and the jocks; so i don't think they qualify...but do adults actually worship 'the devil?' i've often thought that worhsiping satan was like watching super bowl xxvii on espn classic with your buddies and betting the 401(k) on the bills to win...i mean, you know going in that you've backed a loser-the outcome is certain! btw, i'm NOT talking about pagans and wiccans...i fully understand that pagans and wiccans are NOT 'devil-worshipers'

I cannot imagine. If there are people who worship Satan, that means they have to believe in God as well. That's scary to me.

Satan worshippers are like human beings in any relgion. There's the fakers, the wanna-be's and the ones who are deadly serious about it. Then, there are kinds of Satan worshippers. The ones who know what they are into. The ones who think at first level it's the deepest and eastern kinds, and kinds all aroudn the world using 10 different names. Some even pick only a female form for it. The ones who are serious about it tap into powers. And demonic powers come in many kinds. All of which are really, really bad for anyone. Problem is, even messing playfully with it opens doors. And those who've made agreements with Satan even jokingly are usually kept to them. Which is why the stuff in the Bible about the "power of the blood" of Jesus is not at all silly or superstious. It's the only thing that can buy one back from hell or any of it's minions.

The vast vast majority of Satanists do not worship Satan, or if they do it is a Satan as envisioned in literature and philosophy, not the Christian satan.
There are however a very small number of people that do identify themselves as 'devil-worshipers' who also call themselves Satanists, thought most Satanists would not consider them as such.
They profess to be opposed to the Christian God and Christianity. Like I said a very small number, and not many in the a U.S.

I believe they exist, yes...now whether these people are possessed by a demon(s), is unknown to us.
BTW, I had to deal with a demon for two years after using the Ouija Board a few times. Those things are nothing to play with. They are a portal for something to come into this dimension from the demonic realms.

Anton Levey started the Church of Satan and it has had many other famous followers. I also know many satanist personally. It is the same as it is portrayed on tv, but yes it is real

Every practicing Satanist of my acquaintance (a fellow's circle of acquaintances can be mighty broad if he's an historical-style fencer) was an atheist, actually. Their "Satan" was a useful fiction for them.

It was just explained to me not very long ago, that there is a pagan path that is Satanic...however it is not the christian satan that they are referring to..

satanism is not the worship of satan,more of a religion that allows you to do what you wish,or that is my understanding of it.yes there are adults out there who doworship satan ,even kids.on one of the other websites i frequent a girl openly admitted to working with lucifer, to help herself achieve what she wants

satanists believe that satan will defeat Jesus. And they do worship satan. However some of the theology behind who they believe satan is, and Jesus is, is different than the Bible.
