I don't know how you would define as blues rock song.
SRV to me was pure Blues through and through.
I'd put Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Allman Brothers, Peter Green etc in that category.
My favourite blues rock songs (in no particular order)
1) Vood Chile
2) Sunshine of your Love (Cream)
3) Cocaine (J J Cale)
4) Can't Find My way Home (Blinf Faith)
5) The Green Manilishi

for the stuff you might not have heard, check out John Campbell. I always thought he was great (he's dead now). The one by Billy Joe Shaver-Called "Billy And The Kid". It was a great mix of country blues with Billy Joe's son (Eddie) playing lead guitar. I always thought it was a great mix in general. The cd I mentioned was Eddie's last recordings as he died from an overdose either Christmas or New Year's eve a few years ago. Dave Alvin "Ashgrove" is another one that you might want to check out. Also Tinsley Ellis "Highway Man". There was another cd I picked up fairly recently by Hubert Sumlin called "About Them Shoes" that I found very good. A couple other great ones are Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters "Now My Soul" and Duke Robillard & Ronnie Earl called "The Duke Meets The Earl". I think you will definitely like if not love all the ones I've mentioned (just off the top of my head).

Try listening to "Absolute Blues Hits" (formerly 1.FM Blues) on the Apple iTunes internet radio - I do. It has a LOT of great blues-rock artists. I just saw Joe Bonamassa last night - he's on there. His CD is currently #1 on the Billboard Blues charts. Listen to that internet radio station, and you will hear a lot of artists that you might like - enjoy!
BTW: if you have a PC the iTunes program is a free download.

"You ain't nothin' but a hound dog" by Big Momma Thorton (or Thornton). Elvis' hit was a not so good cover of this one. OK, it's not blues / rock, but it's blues that rocks!
