Some religious persons are brainwashed into thinking they are the one and only monopoly on planet earth. When you bring up the idea of western democracy, capitalism, married ministers, women priests, and that fact there is more than one non-profit religion in the world, they are backed into a corner of their own design and have no choice but to find you guilty in advance of heresy, conduct a kangaroo trial with faked exhibits, then slowly torture you, insult you, crown you with briars, and publicly crucify you to appease their insatiable lust for non-profit, religious, political power.

Faith is an important part of some people's life although I think of it as blindness to the lack of available evidence. They will generally feel threatened as there is no logical answer to the contention that the existence of God does not bear scientific examination,
I do not have any faith and any vestige of faith that I once had was eliminated by having to watch my wife die a painful and terrible death last year. How could a loving benevolent God allow such a thing to happen?
I do however believe that everyone ius entitled to an opinion and that includes us atheists.

Your third word solutions all of it * non secular* you will discover many extra others are believers yet no longer 'non secular' there's a distinction yet to no longer the non-believer. between the justifications human beings get so 'up in palms' with others who have not got any understanding of the bible is they % to objective to apply bible costs they have heard by using the years yet they don't be attentive to the meaning of what they're asserting. in case you % to criticize then you definately actual must be attentive to the bible, and that takes years of discovering to even start to comprehend it. additionally a similar applies to the 'indignant' they might desire to first comprehend what it is approximately what you like and do, to truly criticize you. oftentimes those exact same people who say you act so indignant, they little question act indignant approximately lots in existence,, they're the pious ones.. real Christians although will look after their concept vigorously against the trinitarians and different fake ideals.

People hate to be criticised.
As a Christian I don't object to people questioning my faith because I ought to be able to give reasons for why I believe.
However there are a lot of people who dismiss Christianity without any real grasp of what it is about. Those who dismiss people like me as idiots because we believe in God are demonstrating their ignorance not mine.
I think everyone is entitled to their opinion; it's a shame when people (on all sides) can't express it politely

Because some people think that to have 'faith' means to accept without question.
Which is wrong. If we believe in anything, there should be a reason for it. We should not take any man's word or follow tradition because our parents and grandparents did it that way. Anything we believe should be provable by the Bible.

Because they do not like to hear certain questions that may shake the foundation of their religion. They have been conditioned by their religion to never ask certain questions but also to criticize and mock anyone that does ask those questions.
In short they object to any form of independent thoughts and view those that do as a threat.

the same reason anyone is easily offended.
whether one is of faith or not, seems the majority of people feel offended at opinions that are different from theirs because it can be perceived as an attack on ones character and intelligence.
Of course sometimes, a question or answer is an attack on a person's intelligence and character, so, offense is an appropriate response.
