This is what the world has had to deal with a bunch of charlatans body snatchers pretending to have seen a dead man walk again and ascend to heaven.

Honestly I believe you DO need to be an idiot to believe that BS. Besides what kind of an A$$hole sends his only begotten son to die? Not only that but why would he create a world full of life just to destroy it?

The Romans left their crucifixions on the cross to rot... they did not allow anyone to take the bodies off of the crosses because they wanted them there as a reminder of what would happen to you if you went against the Roman Empire. IF Jesus was really only on the cross for three days he may have used techniques that he might have learned in his travels to suppress his breathing, etc., so that he "faked" his own death, and was therefore not dead when he was taken off the cross. As the four gospels were written in four different cities along the Meditteranean in four different time periods each being about 20 years apart, the gospels actually contradict each other and have glaring mistakes in them. Crucifixion is a form of suffocation, so the Gospel that states that Jesus cried out at the end is clearly wrong because he wouldn't have been able to speak.

To the person that says that "a billion people believe it" (implying that it is true) please understand that this is the same reasoning as being back in the year 1938 and saying "50 million Germans can't be wrong". This also means that about 5 billion people DON'T believe it, so are they right simply because there are more of them? Just because something is believed by the masses doesn't mean that it is true. Most people used to believe that the Earth was flat, and that the Sun revolved around the Earth, which we now know is in error. Resurrection MIGHT be possible, but there is no REAL evidence for it, and the idea of it was "borrowed" from previous religions - it was NOT created by Christians first.

There is, of course, the problem of reconstructing a person's memories, once the cells containing them are dissolved, and recycled by microbacteriae in the digestive systems, etc. of and related to the decomposition phase of mortification. (death's effect)
If memories were IMPLANTED, would the very same person exist again, or would it be a very well-done DUPLICATE? Even the fingerprints could theoretically be replicated.

And there is this to be considered;' Instant Replay'? (how dull)
Whatever it is that people imagine happens in an 'afterlife' (recognizing loved ones who have died and been assimilated into a higher consciousness) assumes far too much to be taken seriously. The examples in the Biblical account are those who appeared to be 'dead' for a short while, but since there is rarely an examination by a physician on record, how can it possibly be concluded that there was anything going on but a mass hysteria upon sighting a replicant or revived being similar to the deceased?

If God is able to do marvelous things and wishes us to 'doubt not' -then why must He tell us about things which pander to our silliest fantasies, rather than to help us to 'grow up'?

I personally am drawn more to the Buddhist Way of Enlightenment which deals with alleviating suffering Here and Now, rather than in some far-fetched 'afterlife'.

Don't know. Do you have to be an idiot to believe our ancestors are fish, monkeys or amoebas? My faith is built on more than what was recorded in the Bible (even though I do believe it) and there are people today that claim to have seen present day resurrections. No more crazy than ghosts, healings and other mysteries. Glad I read this question. The "body snatcher" theory always gives me a good laugh.

No, but if you are, you are still welcome to join us on Sundays?

I have never seen George Washington either, but fortunately we can depend on things like: education passed down through generations, books and letters to carry over the events of the past.

Yeah, too bad there were no video cameras or "you tube" internet back 2000 years ago....just think of how many negative, angry people would be getting up early on Sunday mornings!

Christianity 2.1 billion Has the most followers and most widespread presence of all well-recognized religions. Predominant religion in Europe, the Americas, Southern Africa, Oceania, and the Philippines.

Is that honestly what you think? That someone "snatched" the body? Well BOY, I'd sure like to know how they moved the boulder, and snatched the body, without waking up the guards that were asleep on the job outside the tomb.

And THEN I'd love to know why they didn't just admit it, or let the gag go before they were martyred for their beliefs. Why didn't they say, "Uhhh...no, you don't have to crucify me, we were just yanking your chain, you know? We hid the body in a common grave, heh heh. Sorry."

Sorry, kid, you might want to try a different theory. I have yet to hear a good one, and I've heard many.

I would say this is a poorly phrased question that's more of a slap at Christianity than a question. No, you don't have to be an idiot to believe in resurrection, you have to have faith. No empirical scientific method can prove it.

You seriously have problems. You're only asking this because you love to get attention, and you knew that there would be lots of people that wanted to vent their frustrations on you. 2 points.

it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle then for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.... gods knowledge equates to beyond, filling every page of every book in the world, remember if it wasnt for the creator of mankind you wouldnt be here. I ASK EVOLUTIONISTS THIS: IF WE EVOLVED LIKE THEY SAY THEN WHO CREATED THE FIRST THINGS AND HOW DID IT GROW AND MULTIPLY IF IT WAS HERE FIRST AND ALL ALONE?
