well.. you have just learned a valuable lesson in life... NOTHING IS FREE

if you want it bad enough you work and pay for it. Lucky you are only grounded for a week... I would have been a lot less lenient on my child.

At the age of 15, you should know that taking a cab will cost you money. If you had no money, you shouldn't have taken the cab unless it was an extreme emergency.

You don't say why you took the cab or where you were that you felt you need to take a cab.

You are very luck the cab driver didn't have you arrested. The man or woman drives the cab to make a living. That's how they feed their family and pay their bills. By not being able to pay, you were cheating the cab driver out of money he/she had honestly earned. It is stealing.

Being grounded is the least of your worries if you are in the habit of pulling stunts like this.

Why not walk as far as you could then stop and rest and keep going. Nothing is for FREE! Besides your Mom should have
grounded you from all the things you take for grated like the computer don't think she's that mad at you get a j.o.b.!
Do extra things around your Mother house for FREE then see if you like working hard and not getting payed!
You would have really learned a lesson in juvie.
Hope you have learned something you should have been to ashamed to write it on here. You are what you make your LIFE make a lesson out of it and not a waste. good luck sweetie.

You are upset about a day of your life being wasted? What about the cab driver's time that YOU wasted? You are lucky you aren't sitting in the slammer right now, now that would have wasted many days of your life. Try spending a minute of your valuable day thinking about someone other than yourself.

I think that is a very small punishment for what you did.
I don't call that a wasted day. You have learned a valuable lesson. Not paying is the same as stealing. Stealing can get you arrested. It's good that you are learning that. It may be unpleasant, but it is certainly not wasted time.

You have to understand that what you did was wrong and now you are having to pay the consequences for it. Just accept it and consider it a lesson learned. There will be plenty of those to come in the future. You just have to avoid as many as possible by trying to make the best decisions that you can.
