Morality is the way you treat people and the environment. Do you think you could in all good conscience just abandon all hope? If all did that could the situation be worse. Maybe there isn't a lot we can do about the external environment but we can care and support one another and the planet as best we can. Everyone might not know. I don't know if it would ultimately make a huge difference. I do know WE know and that matters. That there shall soon be major catastrophic events is not a certainly. Until it happens it's not a certainty. Member all the fuss about the new millenium? Maybe you are too young. What I remember is a whole lot of fuss and nothing else.

Not a great way to live life, in my opinion. After major disasters there's always looters trying to take advantage of the situation, a kind of kick-me-when-I'm down mentality, I suppose. The doomsday crowd, the global warming deniers -- they are looking out for themselves, too, in a way.

I live in Southern California, and earthquakes -- even a severe one -- are always a possibility, but we try to prepare and life goes on, because decades can pass in between events, and most are inconsequential.

Human life won't be going extinct anytime soon. We need to live for today, plan for tomorrow, and embrace the kind of future we can have rather than the future that might be. There will be hurricanes, flooding, volcanoes and other disasters, but then, that's the way it's always been. Not a dull planet, is it?

You aren't considering the toxins that are in your blood and these toxins are causing health problems. Where is the upside to that one?

You can tell your children the story of the poisoned planet. That was the day mom and dad gave up on their future.

Go to http://www.thermoguy.com and scroll down to the picture of the fetus where you can link to a study done on polluted newborns. The toxicity ratio was 100% except that means bad things for little people without immune systems.

From the beginning of time men have been predicting the end of days. They and you aren't any better than predicting the end of time any better then they were.

However, these scary TV theme's do sell programming time.
