With all these awsome games coming out on PS3 like COD4, Assassins Creed, etc... It almost feels like you don't have to leave your house to have a life.

So much money and work goes into these games, Im talking millions of dollars went into creating COD4 and we can purchase them for little over $60. And have an almost realistic experience of battle.

I mean you can literarely be at home all day and still feel like you are having an exciting life with all these so realistic games which almost feels like you are a part of the game.

I also feel that gaming is going to get even better in the next few years because gaming is going to create a lot of profit for these companies and huge entertainment companies are going come to the scene and spend millions in creating even more realistic games like they do with movies.

Is this bad or good?

Sony offer to send you free games or something for this post, lol?
Kidding aside, Not a whole bunch of us went with a PS3. Alot of of us pciked up a XBOX 360, or a Wii. I sure the PS3 is a great product, but i think they outpriced the market, while much more affordable alternatives where available.
As for gaming, it has been popular forawhile, and continues to gain more ground. Though, I don't see it as good or bad. If you mean in a cultural context, idon't see how anyone can argue that it is any worse compared to movies, TV, or the internet.
It is up to the consumer where they what to spend their disposal income.

It's great because little companies that are started by college students can create a whole new job market. In fact most universities are offering game developing curriculums now.

Edit: the Nintendo Wii is now being used for Physical rehad patients. How cool is that.

To Cysteine at the bottom--- He mentioned the PS3 because it's full power hasn't been tapped yet and the 360 is already outdated and maxed out in regards to its capabilities for future gaming and technology advancements.

Yeah, I guess I know what you mean, playing these newer realistic games, it just puts you right in the game and the games are so interactive with the PS3 Sixaxis controls.

I think it's good because video games are part of the entertainment industry and it's a billion dollar industry. Even though the media talks about violence in video games, they really could care less about the violence because once the money comes in from these video games they stop talking about the violence.

I can't wait to see what else the PS3 is capable of, because game developers are really just scratching the surface with the PS3 true potential

I don't think spending all day and night playing video games is a good choice, especially for your health (there's already video game and internet rehabs in China). I agree though, they're just too cool. :)
