I am not familiar with NY state tax forms, but it would be odd if they did not offer a standard deduction. It saves them hassle by not having to wade though all your individual deductions. You should get a deduction for the federal taxes you have to pay. You may also get a deduction if you pay property taxes on a house you live in in NY.

If you have a child you get a deduction that will reduce your taxable income for NY state. Other than that, no.
