If I got my passport in 1995 and last used it in 2002 when does it expire??

It's not when you used it last, it's when it was issued. Look in your passport, it will have the expiration date. And by the way, if it's a US passport, it's already expired.

Depends on where you live. In Canada it's 5 years, but in the UK it's 10 years. That said, a passport has nothing to do with being able to work in another country - it only lets you get into some countries. Depending on where he's from and where he's going, he may need to apply for a visitor's visa. He'll also need a worker's visa (or, depending on his age, a working holiday visa if he's under 30 or 35 - again, depending on the country) in order to find work. You haven't given enough info on where he's from and where he's going for me to say what he needs in terms of visas. If you let us know this, you may get some more concrete information. Also - if he's in the US right now, beware that it's taking over 3 months in many cases to get a passport.
