"Jehovah" is the personal name of Almighty God, the Sovereign of the Universe, the Creator. An adherent among Jehovah's Witnesses is most certainly not "a Jehovah" but rather is "a Witness".
(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah
Really, everyone who respects and obeys Jesus Christ goes from door to door to teach his neighbors about the Bible's good news. It is interesting that only Jehovah's Witnesses are so clearly identified with the preaching work; globally more than 6 million preach publicly each month.
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.
(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.
(Acts 20:20) I did not hold back ...from teaching you publicly and from house to house
It's sad when someone who claims to respect the bible actually insults or even advocates attacking a peaceful preacher. Sad but completely expected.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
Really, if someone goes out of their way to disregard Christian preachers and preaching, what is he saying about himself?
(Luke 10:1-17) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos... “He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”

We go door to door in obedience to Jesus Christ command at Matthew 28:19,20. The door to door ministry has been found to be the most effective method of carrying out this command.
We believe what the Bible says about Jesus Christ.
Matthew 16:15-17 (King James Version)
He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven
To politely tell someone that you are not interested in their church say "Thank you very much for the invitation but I am not interested."

Jesus commanded his followers to preach the good news of the Kingdom like he did. he spoke with people wherever they were to be found. So did the apostles and early Christians.
Matthew 28:19,20- “Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things"
Acts 20:20- while I did not hold back from telling you any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching you publicly and from house to house.
Matthew 10:7,11-13- As you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.’ or a food pouch for the trip, or two undergarments, or sandals or a staff; for the worker deserves his food. “Into whatever city or village you enter, search out who in it is deserving, and stay there until you leave. When you are entering into the house, greet the household;and if the house is deserving, let the peace you wish it come upon it; but if it is not deserving, let the peace from you return upon you.
We do not only preach from door to door. We do street witnessing, letter or telephone witnessing and we talk about God's Kingdom with our friends and relatives in informal settings too.
A religion has to be very organized for such a global preaching work to be done. We are found in over 200 lands. We are united and we preach the same message wherever we live. Other religions have tried going door to door as well but they spent a lot of that time explaining that they were NOT Jehovah's Witnesses. In time, they give up.
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, just as he said. His dying for us opened the way for us sinners to receive everlasting life, he is the way to God. No other saviour.
John 17:3, RS: “[Jesus prayed to his Father:] This is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God [“who alone art truly God,” NE], and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.” (Notice that Jesus referred not to himself but to his Father in heaven as “the only true God.”)
John 20:17, RS: “Jesus said to her [Mary Magdalene], ‘Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” (So to the resurrected Jesus, the Father was God, just as the Father was God to Mary Magdalene. Interestingly, not once in Scripture do we find the Father addressing the Son as “my God.”)
John 3:16- “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life'
When we come to your door and you are not interested, we will not force you. Just say so. It's your right to listen or not listen. Our duty is just to tell you, but not to force you to listen.
