you can get ball point pen ink out of clothing using nonaerosal hairspray - don't think it works for felt tip pens or markers
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
hmmm - I must be half-cracked (kinda like that :) but I just drew on some of my clothes with a blue ball point pen and then used isopropyl alcohol (oh, probably the main ingredient in hair spray) to get the ink out - and it worked - didn't have to rub a lot either
use your best judgement about whether or not to try this on your wedding dress, but my g'ma taught me to do this when I was in high school - she has made countless wedding dresses and has worked in the bridal department of a major cloth store in the south for forty-four years
if you do decide to try a 'home' remedy - test it on a very small spot on the underside of the hem in a place where it won't show
:) best of luck

Absolutely take it to a cleaners. This is NOT an occasion where you need to do it yourself.
Depending on if the stain is very old, what color ink, what type, and if the person before already tried some half-cracked idea to get it out (like hairspray) it may be permanet. Hairspray will NOT take the ink out. Hairspray occasionally works on fuzzier fabrics like cotton because it essentially bonds together the top layers of fuzz then you peel them off....it doesn't take ink out.
Depending on your dress and where the marks are you *may* be able to cover the ink using white india ink to cancel each other out. Only do this as a last resort if you are planning on getting a new dress anyway. Use a very small brush. Otherwise consider some sort of applique design in beading or fabric to cover.
If you bought the dress second=hand and went someplace like Ebay and the selling didn't mention the pen marks you can probably file a complaint for a refund.

My dressmaker accidentally did the same thing to mine when she was putting the dress into the dressbag. She sent it out to a dry cleaners that has experience working with wedding dresses. The mark came completely off. They can probably help with the pet hair as well! Don't worry, they can get the mark off.

If you're going to make any form of paper crafts, you're going to desire to spend money on a large (12 inch) paper cutter so you'll reduce instantly traces. They run approximately $20. Also for paper crafts, use Scotch snapshot splits to keep 2 layers in combination. You can use glue stick moreover to those for further keep (probably for the retailer the date playing cards). Glue stick does not keep good ample on it is possess for the matters so one can be handles. If you prefer doing quilting or some thing with material, while you're making your veil, purchase a rotary cutter and mat. You'll get a quality blank aspect. But it can be too steeply-priced to shop for only for one use. For a non-conventional visitor ebook, you'll reduce 4x6 portions of cardstock, purchase a few stickers to jazz them up and depart pens out so men and women can write messages on them, then afterwards positioned them in a snapshot album.

Sorry your dress is getting messy!!!
I'd take it to a dry cleaner... they will at least be able to tell you how to treat it. It largely depends on the material of the dress.
Good luck.

If your gown hasn't been altered yet and it's been in the care of the bridal shop, it's their responsibility, not yours. If it's been in your care, then you can try hairspray, but make sure you test it on an inconspicuous spot first.

Try straight club soda. If that doesn't work, then buy Mr. Clean spot cleaning pen and I assure you it will be removed.
