A few questions.
How accurate are pedometers? Roughly How long does the average person have to walk to achieve 10,000 steps?
What is considered a step? Is it after you put one foot in front of the other? or is it after one foot comes off of the ground?

1-fairly accurate, especially the one's where you can set a pace size.

2-that should be your goal everyday. roughly 2miles

3-per the pedometer, it's when the hip you are wearing it on rotates completly so that would be picking it up and then placing it back down.
