Would there be objections, WOW ? ! ! Just look at the commotion caused by only asking the question.
Kim: "the so called "educated" people are really lacking in knowledge."
Like she's in any position to make this determination.
James B: "They are called school books!!! Yet Christians are taxed to pay for their children to hear all sorts of bravo sierra sold as fact and yet they are told NOT to complain by those hypocritical SOCIALIST ELISTS!!!"
Ummm, think that’s spelled, “Elitist” snicker. ; ) Do you think that that's an effect of "school books" or him, or home schooling ? This guy even pulled out the dusty old Creationist crap standard, "The Tornado in a Junkyard." Talk about BRAVO SIERRA !

Prison statistics about half way down the page.
kim commented, “A lot of secular individuals go into prison and realize they need a savior because they can not save themselves.” I think it’s more likely that they find that Christian parole boards are more likely to release Christian inmates. And, available percentages don't justify "a lot" going into prison to begin with.
Well Desiree, it looks like such a proposal would get lots of objections and if these few are any sort of an indication it looks like they will all be based in ignorance. This is probably the best question I've ever seen in R&S. Please keep up the good work

Of course, just as many as there are for Christians handing out pamphlets. Where did you get your "prison statistics"? Show us a link to get these statistics if you have one. I will say one thing though, since over 70% of the population claim to be Christian (even though they aren't), then it would be only natural that there would be more incarcerated than "secular" or "atheist" being the real word that you are avoiding for some reason. If it weren't for Christian churches my dear disillusioned friend, then half of the charities in the world that feed the hungry, clothe and shelter the homeless, and provide medical assistance for the sick, would not even exist! Once again it truly amazes me how ignorant some of you people who bash Christianity really are. I would laugh, but it is just too sad to be funny. Do you not have ounce or self respect to open your mouth on here and show how openly foolish you are? Life is much more than making sarcastic little comments about people through the use of the internet only to get a few chuckles and agreements by other equally foolish individuals. Please move on and get a REAL life!

Well I could say no, however you deliver up very legitimate features. In a ultimate international I could say that having a mother or father of each and every intercourse could commonly be pleasant, however we do not reside in that international. Again even having each father and mother does not warranty that the youngster will probably be raised proper. So I could say that so long as the identical intercourse father and mother had been good adjusted and now not harming the youngster or seeking to drive their subculture at the youngster {Which I do not believe they could} then I could feel good about it. The best quandary I see is what different kids and individuals could do. You recognize title calling and such. They could of path be the ignorant ones with a closed brain. Better to have a loving household then no household in any respect. After I responded I learn the entire different replies. They are very enlightening certainly. I wager you did not believe you could get that many constructive responses, I recognize I did not. Maybe there's wish for the arena.

"Would there be many objections if pamphlets promoting secularism were handed out to children?" - I hope there would be. Give the pamphets to the adults and protect the children.
Children would just give pamphets to parents or throw them away.
Just protect the children from the world, and adults; as they are not interested in adult stuff.
After age 18 they can receive your pamphets, and understand what your saying.

I find it quite interesting as to what your motive is behind the pamphlets. Are you wanting to show the hipocracy within christian circles? First, let me say this. Get your facts first. Alot of secular individuals go into prison and realize they need a savior because they can not save themselves. Second, the so called "educated" people are really lacking in knowledge. God has made salvation so easy for everyone that the "educated" can't quite figure it out. The purpose of the money is to help, tax free, yes.

They are called school books!!! Yet Christians are taxed to pay for their children to hear all sorts of bravo sierra sold as fact and yet they are told NOT to complain by those hypocritical SOCIALIST ELISTS!!!
How many Christians are incarcerated to secular people? Excuse me! Just because someone calls themself a Christian does not make it so.
Yes there are great numbers of "Educated" people who's theories of evolution have a probability that is OFF the charts.
By their definition, it is more probable for a tornado to go through an auto junkyard and leave behind a fully constructed and functional 747 Jumbo Jet! It is more probable to stand on one end of the galaxy and launch an arrow from a simple bow and hit a 1" by 1" square dead center bullseye than for the theories of evolution to be true.
Yet there was a Jesus of Nazareth who was crucified by Pontius Pilate. Herod's diaries still exist and describe him.
So what you have to ask yourself is this... If this Jesus of Nazareth was a fake. How did he convince 12 men to keep his lie? Think about it. Read the lives these men lived and the deaths they endured after Jesus was crucified.
Then ask yourself this follow up question... If this man is not who he said he was... How is it that the majority of the religions prior to him have died off? You don't find these "gods" being worshipped... Why is it after 2000 years that this religion grows STRONGER with persecution? Why are people still willing to grab hold of it and not let go? They'll sacrifice their life so that someone else might hear and hopefully come to repentence.
NO other religion preaches such. None. Either it is true and therefore something to embrace OR it is the greatest con and conspiracy theory ever produced.
Pulled off by a journeyman carpenter, fishermen, tax collector, and a doctor... Once more, he had to retroactively convince the Jews to rewrite their history to make all the "prophesies" to come true. There are over 300 about Jesus in the old testament.

None, actually. But I imagine the Christians would freak out. Though they certainly seem to think that handing out pamphlets promoting Christianity is ok. They're hypocrites. They aren't interested in equal treatment, but want special treatment for them just because they're Christian.

Hey, it's a free country, so feel free to do so. God is most powerful, so He cannot be defeated, no matter how many tracts you hand out.
And re. how much money religions "turn over", most churches publish annual reports detailing how much money is donated, and where it all goes. It's no secret or anything. But you're right. Our church "turned over" lots of money to the victims of Hurricane Katrina in 2005; we also "turn over" money every Christmas to the local florist which gives us a few dozen poinsettia plants, which we, in turn, "turn over" to nursing home residents and shut-ins; my dad's church "turned over" money to about 12 people to travel to Honduras to build solid concrete homes and buildings (two years in a row) for local residents.
