i Think it depends on your weight and metobalism. i do the same thing 'cause im trying to loose weight and i try to burn off more calories than what i take in,but i also eat fruit or something for snack ,maybe you should at least eat a piece of fruit of a small salad instead of eating just twice a day.
hope you find the right answer!!!

I'm sure that it's safe, but it's not healthy at all. If you are doing this because you're trying to lose weight, you're going to be presented with many difficulties. Your metabolism gets slow really quickly to preserve as many calories as it can when it's not given enough food. Try to eat a lot of fibrous foods in-between these, or snack on food that's high-protein. Foods like snap peas with hummous, apples with almond butter/peanut butter/soy nut butter will be good because they give your body some fat and a lot of fiber. You should also have some lean meat (provided you're not vegetarian) for muscle.
This diet plan also proves hard to follow because you are suggesting going 10 to 12 hours without any food. Your brain is constantly beeping messages: I'm being deprived!- and as soon as you have lost enough weight, you're going to inadvertently bounce back to your regular habits and gain it back.
I hope that you found this helpful.

Two meals a day shouldn't hurt you. Assuming they are good balanced meals for the most part. You would survive fine on one good meal a day, but I wouldn't recommend it. that sort of dieting trains your body to put on fat when you splurge, and you will.

It's better for your metabolism to eat many small meals throughout the day.
