Puppies are just like little kids that are curious about things that they have just dicovered. Kids grap, touch, and usually end up in their mouths. Some are more curious than others. A puppy is curious too, but the fact that they see their tail, but can't get it, is what makes them chase their tail

Puppies are just like little kids. They love to play. If they don't have a playmate or a toy to play with, they'll settle for chasing their tail.
Dogs with high energy levels (such as Jack Russells, Dalmations) need something to exercise that energy on.
A dog that does this excessively might need a vet visit to find out if he's overly-active or stressed.

Because it's too hard to chase their nose! No, really it's just what puppies and some adult dogs do. It's like ring around the roses for them. Have a good one;~)

Tail chasing is usually done out of boredom. It's a sign that the dog needs more exersize and mental stimulation (training and interactive play).

it means the poor thing needs some fun stuff in it life so get up and play with the puppy and it wont chase no more
good luck remember you need to play every day with young dogs....
