Hi I have a question about PS3 with the HDMI output?

The HDMI output on the PS3 is it only going to support games sounds or only is going to support Blu-ray sound? Or both?

THe hdmi out supports all files video, games and sound in HD bluray or upscaled dvd or upscaled ps2. It also supports all music cds and hombrew dvds.

If you want to use an optical out for hooking up to a surround sound system you can as well just goto audio settings and select optical out instead of hdmi.

The HDMI output supports in game, movie and XMB HD sound and picture.
