They do, but they believe he is a Rabbi rather than the Messiah. They only use the Old testament, called the Torah.

It gets a bit complicated. Jews do not accept Jesus as the true Messiah or chosen one. The true Messiah according to the old testament is supposed to come from the house of David. According to the new testament, Jesus was born by immaculate conception i.e. he could not have come from the lineage of David as Mary did not have sex. Hitler used the general animosity of Jews, amongst the more moronic of his followers as a political weapon. He needed a scapegoat for Germany's defeat in WW1. The Jewish community were the obvious targets. Hitler was an anti-Semite, but a clever one. His rhetoric persuaded even moderate people that the Jews had conspired against Germany. Total nonsense of course. Remember that Russia persecuted the Jews and if a man called Oswald Moseley had had his way England might have too. However the people of the east end of London saw off him and his odious Black Shirts in no uncertain terms. Minorities have been persecuted throughout history. It has always been the tool of choice for politicians of limited intelligence coupled with enormous ego's. Hitler was such a man. It has been said that if that monster had NOT persecuted, what was after all, some of the brightest people in Germany, the Jews he would have won the second world war. I am not a Jew but I wish I was one. Read Richard Dawkin's, The God Delusion for a better understanding of the religious aspect and Len Dieghtons Blitzkrieg for a better understanding of Hitler.

Jesus was born a Jew, he was raised as a Jew, he lived as a Jew and he died a Jew when the Romans crucified him.
We Jews regard him as a Rabbi, or 'teacher' which he was; he was one of many around at that time. The Jews back then were very, very familiar with how to recognize the true messiah because our religion details the events that will accompany his arrival. For example: world peace.
None of those events occurred while Jesus was alive.
Paul, who did so much to spread Christianity, NEVER EVEN MET JESUS.
Re our bible: We read the Torah, the first five books of Moses, otherwise known as the Old Testament.
Christians rely on the New Testament.
As for your query about Hitler.... this is a whole other topic! You are welcome to ask, but maybe in a separate post?
Try and get hold of a book called THE WAVE, about an experiment done in an American high school. It will explain a lot to you about how Hitler managed to convince people that the Jews were to blame for all that went wrong in Germany. For now I will just say: we Jews are people, just like everyone else! :)
Do feel welcome to ask anything else!
edit, 'I'm an athiest' has given a brilliant answer.
RIGHT ANSWER GUARANTEED: Hitler was NOT Jewish. Get your facts straight.

There are many different wings of Judaism today and there were in antiquity as well. Jesus was probably more connected to the Pharisees, as opposed to the Sadduccees and Essenes (although some people believe that he was an Essene). The early christian church was a movement of that kind. But after Jesus's death it started to change radically in it's connection of being a christian and a Jew or Gentile. Paul declared circumcision inconsequential, and that basically meant an end to Christianity being a part of Judaism, and I think that limited the appeal of it to Jews. And when the Roman Empire made christianity its state religion, non-christian Jews were prosecuted as before. So that didn't really help the relations between the groups at all.
Because the persecution of Jews is not an invention of Hitler. Christian antisemitism is almost as old as christianity. But it really blossomed during the crusades, when Jews in Europe were seen as a nice practicing target and a way to finance the armies that went in the direction of Jerusalem. Why fight the infidels over there when you could fight them so close to home? And after all, the Jews killed Jesus (even though he was a Jew and the Romans did the killing). There are three basic points of antisemitism:
1: the Jews killed Jesus. According to folklore they were punished for this by having to "wander the earth forever". Which in reality had more to do with the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans. But anyway, the Jews were wanderers, and as all wandering people (also Roma for example) they were treated with extreme suspicion.
2: Jews eat babies. You nowadays mainly see it in the Islamic world, but it used to be an idée fixe in the christian countries as well that matzes were obviously made from gentile babies' blood or meat. Which is ironic because in the earliest times of christianity, christians were accused of drinking non-christian (Jewish as well as Roman) babies' blood at communion.
3: Jews are rich, exploiting christians. Actually, most of them are not and never were, but some did acquire wealth. Jews had good and reliable connections in other cities, better than christians apparently, and they were allowed to loan money, which was not allowed to christians. However, when somebody powerful owed Jews a lot of money, the default strategy was to organize a razzia which made the debts magically disappear.
As to parts of the bible, that is really putting it backwards. The "old testament" is simply the Tanakh (acronym for Torah, Nevim (prophets) and Ketuvim (writings), which is a collection of Jewish writings. The "new testament" is a collection of Christian writings which often goes directly against the Tanakh, and which was not definitely compiled until the fourth century, when the rift between christianity and Judaism was already complete.
Really a hard question to answer precisely. The way that the interrelation of Judaism and Christianity is handled in Christianity makes no sense if you ask me. I think you should learn something about Judaism in general before you can actually answer this question.

"Jew" denotes both a religion and an ethnic group. Hitler was a racist. He was bent on exterminating people who were ethnically Jewish, because he thought them to be an inferior race that didn't deserve to live and basically viewed them as parasites.
Jesus was a Jew both ethnically and religiously. He wanted the jews to believe he was the Messiah. Most Jews came to reject this teaching. In the very early days, Jesus's followers were considered a Jewish sect, but their beliefs differed radically enough from the other Jews that it was quickly understood that they were actually a new religion: Christianity.
Just because Jesus was a Jew doesn't mean the Jews should immediately believe him. People of my ethnicity and religion say crazy stuff all the time, and I feel no compulsion to believe them arbitrarily. To most Jews, Jesus sounded crazy.

Jews today don't accept Jesus Christ because of the traditions of their fathers. Their fathers didn't accept the Savior because they had lost many of the teachings of the prophets which told of the first coming of the Messiah - when he would save us spiritually. They were looking for a war hero, someone who would drive out the romans and free Jerusalem and Israel. They rejected the Savior as the Son of God 2000 years ago when he walked among them.
Hitler used the jews as a target for hate to rally his people. he claimed that all the problems that Germany suffered from were caused by the jews. hitler used hatred, bigotry & fear to gain power. the jews were just a convenient tool.
Judaism accepts the first 5 books of the Old Testament, but not the rest [which means they're missing Isaiah and his messianic prophecies & understanding of the dual missions of the Savior]. The 'bible' [old & new testaments] itself was gathered later, and includes more writings of ancient prophets as well as the testimonies of early apostles and letters to the early churches [congregations] from the leaders of the church.

Thats correct, Jesus founded Christianity in his later years because of course he couldn't be born into a religion that didn't exist yet so therefore he was born a Jew prior to being acknowledged by God and his ressurection and thereforth he was known to found Christianity. Jews also believe in god but they also are a lot more strict as far as rules(the ten commandments) and some social events must be followed differently. Judiasm was founded as the first main religion that had millions of followers under the Torah(comparable to Bible). Some of the testaments(old) are reintroduced in parts of the Bible and therefore Judiasm and Christianity are quite enterwinded. As for Hitler's hatred, he was a psychopath that believed everyone had to be physically identical with blonde hair and blue eyes, eventhough he didn't fit this criteria. Also he was born a Jew and I am guessing that his childhood had a negative impact on him. Also considering that Jews were the most populated religion in Germany aside from Christianity and hence it was his main target, however all other religions were also punished in concentration camps also however due to being minorities, history focuses less on them.

Most Jews I've conversed with deny that Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of the Messiah. When pressed, they give short shrift to the suffering servant prophecies in Isaiah 52-53, and emphasize prophecies of a conquering king. Ironically, their idea of a conquering messiah more closely resembles Muhammad, who carved out a vast empire for Islam through military violence.
The Jews were the first to worship the true God and understand many of his commandments. But their understanding was imperfect (they have only the Old Testament, and they give most weight to the Torah, the first five books), which is why we needed God himself to explain and exemplify his perfect revelation in Jesus Christ. Jews do not accept the New Testament because they do not accept the truth about Jesus.
Hitler hated the Jews because he envied their success and prosperity, because he needed a scapegoat to explain Germany's many troubles, and because he was a paranoid megalomaniac and certifiable lunatic who unfortunately had great political and military power.
Cheers,
Bruce

those persons that stay contained in the West are forced to contemplate Jesus lots. We would no longer have self assurance he existed or changed into God incarnate or the messiah, yet we gained't stay away from him. for my area, i have self assurance like an intruder in my personal united states the total month of December. you aren't to any extent further incorrect that Judaism would not evaluate him. Judaism advanced with out him. opposite to the tale contained in the Christian bible, Jesus went no longer said by technique of the Jewish human beings, it is why I doubt he existed. we've a lot of heritage of alternative adult adult males who claimed to be the messiah in additional advantageous or less an analogous historic time body, yet Jesus did not get any interest. Judaism would not ignore Jesus or worship Jesus or deny Jesus or factor out Jesus - he's not any more advantageous correct to us than Buddha is to you, or Zeus. And he merely would not arise except we are being evangelized by technique of Christians. He would not fit our faith's theory of what the messiah will be like, our faith's theory of what the international will be like at the same time as the messiah comes shows he hasn't come yet, and Christianity is inconsistent with Judaism - the genuine Judaism, no longer what Christianity teaches that's. desire something there enables. As Paperback author has come to apply Woody Allen as an analogy those days in this area, i will in the different case. Being Jewish would not make someone significant to Judaism. Woody Allen is a Jew, yet we do not worship him. he's only a guy, and he's more advantageous significant to me in that he really will be shown to exist and he made a dozen good videos.

Jews believe Jesus was a great prophet and revere him as such (more than most "Christians"). They do not believe that Jesus was the Christ, or Messiah, the Son of God sent to save the world. According to prophecy, Bible, the Jews eyes will be opened and they will accept Jesus as the Messiah half way through the tribulation.

Many Jews did believe in Jesus as the God/Man when he walked the earth but many didn't. If you are Mormon, do you
believe that He is God the 2nd person of the Trinity?
Hitler was satanic inspired as many are during history to hate
the Jews, God is not finished with them year. He will restore
all of Israel after the 1,000 year reign.
They are still waiting for their Messiah. They haven't accepted Jesus Christ but some have.
