Most Episcopalians read the Bible metaphorically, and within the context of when it was written. Because of this, most Episcopalians see no conflict in being a Christian while largely rejecting verses that advocate slavery, woman inferiority, and include anti-Semitic, and anti-homosexual views.
I attended an Episcopal church in which one of the priests was a wonderful, older, lesbian woman in a committed relationship. None of us felt this was weird in any way.
There are certainly many Episcopal churches that are much more conservative (I live in progressive Northern California, and the local Episcopal church voted to break away). Churches like these, however, are in the minority, and many people chose to leave this church..
Best of luck on your search. No matter where you end up, I hope you will view all people with compassion, whether they are gay or not. All the best.

The Episcopal Church is called the The Church of England in England. And we know who is in charge there. Maybe you need to go there?
Really though, The Episcopal and Lutheran churches became one, not long ago. So it is together in places. Just has a sore spot.

Take the Bible over any church son.Any chirch that tells you to put their authority over the Bible and trashes the Bible destroys their own foundation.
You want what the ORIGINAL church taught and practiced?
Read John 3:1-5 the accounts of the great commissions then read the book of acts.If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at joe_fleeman@yahoo.com

I would suggest if you have to join one or the other to join the side opposed to the gay Bishop.
I'd rather you join a more Bible based church such as one of the members of the NAE. See link below, or a non denominational church with beliefs consistant with the NAE.

why get embroiled in a difficult equation like holy father, holy spirit and holy mother, it is confusing as well as far from sensible solution. how about trying ONLY ONE TRUE god where u dont worship none other than OMNIPOTENT, OMNISCIENT AND OMNIPRESENT i.e. ISLAM?
