I am a Jehovah Witness and my neighbor is not. we are friends. she knows my believes that we do not celebrate holidays and that she does. . Jesus said to love our neighbor as ourselves and to treat each other with love. just because my neighbor is not a witness does not mean that I should not treat her or him with respect and love. also no matter what color skin some one has we are all neighbors. I know some that marry someone that is not a witness and they are very happy. by the way, we are christians. we worship Jehovah God and do what Jesus Christ commanded at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. Jesus is the head of all the kingdom halls in 236 lands. we have this beautiful book called The Greastest Man That Ever Lived and is the life story of the Messiah Jesus Christ. see what we are all about at www.watchtower.org. many Jehovah Witnesses have members of there family that are not witnesses and we still love them and get together with them also

Do not believe Jehovah Witness are actually labelled as 'Christian'?? They do not see Jesus as God, do not believe in the Trinity, and so think from understanding they are not really Christian. They see Jesus as Michael the Archangel. They are very intelligent with the Bible etc, they do well, but do hold a bit different belief.( Cannot get into all that now) A Christian truly believes in Jesus as Christ and 'Savior,' and his blood was given for all who would like to receive it, as for their 'everlasting life.' It was taken from people in the Garden Of Eden when they disobeyed God ( Adam and Eve) and they lost eternal life, thus we all did, for thier mistake, so it was restored by Jesus coming here and dying for the sins of all, who would like to receive it. He had to undo what was done, you may say. It takes 'pure' blood to do that. No other prophet ever said they could nor did they ever do this. That is why he is not really just a Prophet he had 'pure' blood. Do not think Michel the Archangel( although he is real, wonderful, and strong, am sure, and fought Lucifer( Satan) in the heavens and kicked him down here, for being egotistical, and saying he could be God too.... but he was 'created by God,' as Jesus was 'begotten' no one else is "begotten" we are created, also. So without this belief we are not a Christian without believing in the Trinity of Jesus/ God/ and Holy spirit as one.
They will not celebrate holidays as they see them as" pagan originated' and actually are correct. Other Christians ( In early Hx)tried to make them Christian holidays as best they could, hoping others who were pagans would change, the way they celebrated, so they were 'modified' but not totally changed...So do not think Jehovah Witness will ever want to join Christians in these celebrations.
So anyway, the best of what I can answer for this question, I guess?

you are VERY different.
I used to be baptist(not anymore) and I know the baptist doctrine inside and out ,I have also studied the Jehovah's witness doctrine(I dont agree with a lot of it) BUT they are right about holidays.
Study up on the origins of all those holidays and youll realize your following traditions handed down by the roman catholic church of celebrating "christianized" pagan "holy days".

Only if you make it a problem! What does religious beliefs have to do with working out? If you don't want to talk about it then don't bring it up and if the other person brings it up just tell them you are here to workout and not discuss religion. GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS!!!

If you allow religious differences to dictate who you have as friends, I fear you will miss out on meeting some truly fascinating people.
Work out with each other and have fun. You're much more likely to lose weight and keep up a program if you use the buddy system.

No problem as long as you respect each other's beliefs.

Your friend will not toss your birthday cake into the garbage or cut down your Christmas tree, and you won't buy them birthday presents or mock them on their stance against blood transfusions.

That's how I get along with my non-Witness friends.

Why would it be a problem? It would only be a problem if one or the other bashed the other's beliefs. Live and let live and be friends. Isn't that what Christ would do?

Uh...what do you mean by workout? Working out at the gym, marrying, or dating?

The Jehovah's Witnesses religion is not Biblical in nature.

Yes it will be difficult! The JWes do not tolerate other faiths in their families. They practice a kind of shunning when people leave their churches.
