Yeah my husband cleans his wrinkles on a daily basis. This dog is so spoiled. I really appreciate all your answers. I will let my husband know he is actually not helping by the frequent baths. Also the dog has his own blanket and I have to wash it often. Should he even sleep with a blanket or does this only make him sweat?

I have 5 of them and none of mine stink.. first, bathing them that many times in a week is over doing it.. You are stripping the oils out of his coat, that right there could be the first problem, he can be bathed once a week but should be no more than that.. second, it could be a skin infection that he has and you not know it. Try bathing him with a shampoo called Malesab, it is a medicated shampoo (purchased from vet and will not hurt anything with his coat or skin if he doesnt have an underlying problem..
next, it may be that he has infected wrinkles somewhere.. now that will cause such a terrible smell you will not want him even near you..lol
start with his tail (usually the most common place), wash it real good and make sure it is completely dry.. then apply either Desitin (baby butt cream) or Gold Bond powder, it will help.. then look for any deep wrinkles in his face and do the same...
good luck with you little stinky butt.. hope you make him all better....

Well first of all, 3 times a week is WAAAY to often to bathe any dog. You're just stripping him of all the oils his skin produces which can end up making them smell even worse when they try to replenish them. Try reducing the number of baths to maybe once a month, if not less, unless the dog gets very dirty. Also, is it the dog itself or is it more the wrinkles and other skin folds? Sometimes bulldogs and other wrinkly breeds can get skin infections in their wrinkles and they can smell horribly. That would need to be checked by a vet and taken care of appropriately. It could also be diet related.
I would have the vet check for a yeast infection in the skin folds, if that all checked out clear, try bathing the dog less. 3 times a week is pretty crazy and is going to cause more problems than being helpful.

I hear ya!!!! We have friends that have one and a Neo Masitff and I cannot tell which one smells WORSE!!!!!!! The Bulldog does smell like bad feet, and the Neo smells like you turned over a rotten, wet log in the forrest.
They do bathe them with special shampoo and it seems to help a little longer, but we are "dog-sitting" them next week and I am armed with extra GLADE!!!!!
I did find that using baby wipies on the fold around the face (or all over on the Neo) helped....especailly after they ate.

Use an anti-fungal shampoo and make sure to get into the folds. Don't let skin folds stay wet, desensitize him to a hair dryer so that you can make sure that his creases are completely dry. Other than that I can only give you my sympathy.
