An affidavit for incarceration is a warrant for arrest.
It's similar to a bench warrant.
He will be held in jail until arrangements can be made to the Court's satisfaction for back child support to be paid. He will probably also have to pay a fine for being in contempt.

They will probably haul him into court and give him a choice, either pay up or go to jail. My ex was there twice for non payment. They usually have them pay a large amount for a few months to get caught up,if they don't pay as ordered, they will send them to jail. Doesn't really help much, since they are in jail, you won't get anything because obviously they aren't working. And sometimes they lose their jobs when they get sent to jail so then you won't get anything when they come out. They really need to come up with a better solution than jail time.

If they are threatening jail, he is a habitual offender. Usually the first step is suspension of the drivers license. Then they go after the income tax return. If all else fails, they remove freedom.
