I've been an atheist for about fifteen years now. And I've never voted for president for anyone other than George W. Bush.
At 20, I voted for Bush thinking his "Compassionate Conservatism" was libertarian in principle; Republican tax cuts with Democratic interest in social issues. (Should have read a little beforehand, I guess. I was pretty young, that's my defense and I'm sticking to it.)
At 24, I voted for him again under the "Wasted Vote" theory; I preferred (marginally, this was still 2004) him to Kerry, and didn't want to "throw away" my vote for a libertarian or protest vote. (Although I considered voting for myself. Even though I was 11 years too young.)
Any other atheists who voted for God's Own President?

I voted for him as the lesser of two evils (American Theocracy vs. Marxist Amerika); though beginning to think that throwing my support behind a Third Party candidate and/or joining the Libertarian petition to secede from the U.S. may be the only hope we have of returning to the ideals this country was founded on...

Nope... Didn't vote for Bush Jr. in either of his elections nor Bush sr. in his... I also didn't vote for the democratic oposition in any of those elections... If there is no candidate who's views I agree with (which seems to be happening alot lately) I write in a vote... Most often I write in my father's name...
If my father was President he would eventually ask someone "Were you born stupid or did it develop over time?" Which I would find completely hilarious....

Anyone, atheist or otherwise, who voted for Bush in 2004 CLEARLY wasn't paying enough attention.
I could see some people giving him the benefit of the doubt in 2000, but really, no one should ever, EVER, admit they voted for him in 2004.

I would have never voted for him I saw through him from the start. I personally would not vote for anyone who called himself "born again" because to me that means he is not a logical person.
Let's keep religion out of politics!

Yep. I voted for George Bush. As many mistakes as he's made, he's been a whole hell of a lot better than John Kerry ever could've been.

I have never voted for any candidate. If I would have voted, it would have been for President Bush. For all those who criticize him, I would like to see any of you try to a better job as president. There is nothing harder than being the leader of the free country and making every one happy. You just can't do it. There is no perfect president, just ask Clinton.

I did, both times. I've been a registered member of the GOP since 1980.
Bush is a very intelligent politician. I admire his ability to lie and manipulate Fundies into getting their votes by pretending to be one of them. 80 million votes is enough to gain favour in any election in this country.
Isn't politics fun?

Gore AND Kerry. no longer that I particularly enjoyed the two of them, yet they have been plenty greater appropriate than Bush. in basic terms think of how a lot of people could be alive as we communicate if Gore have been in charge.
